About: Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD), New Delhi was established in 2015 as a private co-educational institution. Indian Institute of Art and Design is approved by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). IIAD Delhi courses are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the field of fashion and design. IIAD New Delhi admission to the courses will be done based on the candidate's scores in iDAT/ iMAT examination followed by a personal interview conducted by the institute.
Careers 360: Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?
A: Hi, I am Gauri Bajaj, currently in my third year pursuing Interior and Architecture. I am originally from Delhi, bringing a unique perspective to my design journey.
Careers 360: Presently, which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?
A: I started with a general diploma in design, gaining essential basic design knowledge. In my second year, I decided to specialise in interior and architectural design.
Careers 360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?
A: The initial months were challenging, but overcoming those hurdles has been a valuable part of my growth in IIAD Delhi.
Careers 360: What activities are offered at IIAD Delhi? Are there any clubs etc, for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?
A: The institute provides a range of extracurricular activities and clubs. I actively participate in design-focused clubs to enhance my skills and connect with like-minded peers.
Careers 360: Describe a typical day at IIAD New Delhi– what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
A: A typical day involves engaging in classes, working on design projects, and participating in club activities. Balancing studies and extracurriculars is crucial for a well-rounded experience.
Careers 360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
A: The faculty-student ratio is favourable, fostering a strong bond and allowing for personalised attention in my design studies.
Careers 360: What facilities do you have on the IIAD campus? What do you like here the most that you feel is unique and differentiating?
A: Although the IIAD Delhi facilities have many good amenities, the well-equipped design studio that fosters creativity is what really sticks out in my opinion.
Careers 360: How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?
A: I stay in Delhi itself but few of my peers often tell me hostels are comfortable and the emphasis on cleanliness ensures a conducive living environment.
Careers 360: What about the medical facilities? Can you get the requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?
A: Yes, medical facilities are readily available in case of any emergencies.
Careers 360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?
A: Balancing studies, projects, exams, and other activities requires effective time management and prioritisation.
Careers 360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or the student's point of view.
A: Design-focused clubs play a significant role in my campus life, providing hands-on experience and networking opportunities that are crucial for my career.
Careers 360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at IIAD Delhi?
A: While there isn't an in-house magazine, students actively share experiences and ideas on social media platforms.
Careers 360: What are the popular hangouts at IIAD New Delhi? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?
A: Some of the popular hangouts at IIAD New Delhi include the campus cafe and nearby spots, creating a vibrant social atmosphere.
Careers 360: How do you spend your leisure time at IIAD campus?
A: Leisure time is spent exploring design ideas, socialising with friends, and participating in campus events.
Careers 360: Do you have any facebook page of your campus where the students express their views, jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life on campus?
A: There's likely an Instagram page or blog where students share their thoughts and experiences, fostering a sense of community.
Careers 360: What type of companies come for campus recruitment and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is IIAD recruitment process here?
A: Companies from the design and architecture industry visit for campus recruitment, offering diverse opportunities. IIAD Delhi placement process emphasises skills and creativity, ensuring a competitive yet rewarding experience.

Dear Student,
You should have completed your 12th class with minimum 50% aggregate or more in any stream for getting admission in interior architecture course.It is a 4 yrs course and the admission will be based on the merit of 12th class and other colleges have their own entrance exams.For interior design course your portfolio is also checked but for interior architecture there is no such requirement.For more information click below
