Eligibility Criteria for MAH AAC CET Exam

Type

MAH AAC CET Exam Eligibility Criteria

Type-A

Candidates passing SSC and also HSC from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State.

Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/or is born in Maharashtra.

Type-B

A Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possesses Domicile Certificate.

Type-C

A Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.

Type-D

A Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

Type-E

Candidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose mother tongue is Marathi.


  • All India Candidature - Candidates who have Indian Nationality are eligible under this Category.

  • Minority Candidature - Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.

  • NRI Candidature – The Candidate who fulfils the conditions as mentioned in the official brochure are eligible.

  • Foreign Student or OCI or PIO Candidature - The eligibility criteria for the Foreign Student Candidates, the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidate, and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are mentioned in the MAH AAC CET official brochure.

The candidate must check the eligibility criteria of the MHT CET 2026 before applying for the exam. MHT CET's Application date was mentioned from 24th February to mid-March.

Usual Deadline to make corrections was until mid-March. And the exam date is around mid-June. As per the notice, the notification and the exam have been conducted in mid-June of the year 2025.

And for the MHT CET 2026 Exam's notification, exam dates are yet to be released.
