    The CET Cell Maharashtra conducts the MAH AAC CET for admissions into the fine arts programme of participating colleges in Maharashtra.

    Educational Qualification

    • Candidates who passed/ appearing 10+2 or its equivalent examination with English as a language subject.
    • Minimum aggregate marks 45% (40% for Backward class categories, EWS, and PwD candidates)
    • Indian Nationality

    There is no age limit to appear for the MAH AAC CET exam.

    Types of Candidates As Per MAH AAC CET 2027 Eligibility Criteria

    There are several types of candidatures for aspirants appearing for the MAH AAC CET exam. Given below are the details for each type of candidate.

    • Maharashtra State Candidature

    A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type from Type A to E as given below

    MAH AAC CET Exam Eligibility Criteria

    Type-A

    Candidates passing SSC and also HSC from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State.

    Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/or is born in Maharashtra.

    Type-B

    A Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possesses Domicile Certificate.

    Type-C

    A Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.

    Type-D

    A Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

    Type-E

    Candidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose mother tongue is Marathi.

    • All India Candidature - Candidates who have Indian Nationality are eligible under this Category.
    • Minority Candidature - Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.
    • NRI Candidature – The Candidate who fulfils the conditions as mentioned in the official brochure are eligible.
    • Foreign Student or OCI or PIO Candidature - The eligibility criteria for the Foreign Student Candidates, the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidate, and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are mentioned in the MAH AAC CET official brochure.

    Note: For the candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature, All India Candidature Candidates and Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Fine Art (B.F.A.), it is mandatory to appear for MAH AAC CET.
