The National Testing Agency will notify the CUET BFA syllabus 2026 on the official website -cuet.nta.nic.in. The syllabus of CUET BFA informs the candidates about the important topics in the CUET UG design exam. The CUET BFA 2026 syllabus includes four units, namely Rajasthani and Pahari Schools of Miniature painting, Mughal and Deccan Schools of Miniature Painting, The Bengal School and Cultural Nationalism, and Modern Trends in Indian Art. Top colleges such as Banaras Hindu University, Allahabad University, and University Of Delhi offer admission to BFA courses based on marks in CUET exam. Although CUET subjects for BFA vary from one college to another, sections such as General Test, English, and Fine Arts/Visual Arts(Sculpture/Painting)/ Commercial Art are often required to get admission to Bachelor of Fine Arts courses. Through the CUET UG design exam, candidates will be admitted into the B.Des and UG fine arts programmes of participating institutes.

The students who want to pursue a bachelor in fine arts need to choose the domain subject test for the entrance. The subject to be chosen is Fine Arts (320) which includes painting, sculpture, graphics, and commercial arts. Out of the 50 questions given to the students they need to attempt only 40. As stated earlier, there are four important units and the students need to be familiar with all of these to score well in the CUET BFA entrance examination.

Unit 1: CUET Syllabus for BFA Entrance Exam: The Rajasthani and Pahari Schools of Miniature Painting
This covers the 16th to 19th century origin and development of Mewar, Bundi, Bikaner, Kishangarh, and Jaipur, and the main features of the Rajasthani schools. The students need to study the following paintings.
