DAIICT Entrance Exam 2024: Result, Merit List (Out), Counselling, Selection Process

Candidates could check DAIICT DAT eligibility criteria 2024 at the official website - daiict.ac.in. The eligibility criteria of DAIICT DAT 2024 include the academic qualifications that the candidates must meet to appear for the entrance exam. DA IICT has not specified any age limit for the candidates who are interested in M.Des programme. According to DAIICT DAT eligibility criteria, the different streams from which the candidates must have passed at the undergraduate level to be able to participate in the DAIICT design aptitude test 2024 are given below: 

• Design

• Science

• Engineering

• Technology

• Humanities

• Social Sciences

• Fine Arts

• Applied Arts and Performing Arts

Only those candidates who did their diploma from the institutes that are given below will be allowed to appear in the entrance test: 

• NID

• NIFT

• CEPT 

• Srishti School of Art and Design

Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent in the last qualifying exam. Candidates will have to provide their provisional degree certificate or proof that they have completed their undergraduate on or before October 30, 2024. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their admission. 

The authorities extended the DA IICT registration form till May 31, 2024.  Candidates who want to take admission to the master of the design programme had to fill and submit the DAIICT DAT application form 2024 before the deadline. The application form for DAIICT DAT 2024 began by the authorities on March 14, 2024. Candidates who completed their registration could download the DAIICT admit card on June 13, by using the application number and date of birth. DAIICT 2024 admit card is available at daiict.ac.in.

Documents required for filling DAIICT DAT 2024 application form  

Candidates will have to keep the following documents and information ready before they start filling out the DAIICT DAT application form 2024. 

• Scanned image of the candidate of not more than 50 KB 

• Correspondence address 

• Contact number 

• Email address 

• CEED marks 

Candidates have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 1200 + GST 18% (Total: Rs. 1416) through any of the following modes. 

• Net banking 

• Credit card 

• Debit card 

How to fill out DAIICT DAT Application Form 2024

Step 1 - Registration 

Candidates have to first register and then proceed to fill out the application form of DAIICT DAT 2024:

After registering, candidates had to fill in the requisite details in DAIICT 2024 application form. Aspirants had to submit their personal and academic details along with uploading of documents as per specification. 

Step 3 - Submission of Statement of Purpose

Candidates had to next submit their statement of purpose along with the application form of DAIICT DAT 2024. For those who fail to submit the statement of purpose, their DAIICT DAT application form 2024 will not be accepted. 

Step 4 -  Payment of Application Fee 

After filling in all the details in the application form of DAIICT, candidates had to pay the non-refundable fee of Rs 1200 + GST 18% (Total: Rs. 1416) either through net banking, debit card, or credit card. 

The authorities released the DAIICT DAT 2024 exam pattern along with the brochure. The exam pattern of DAIICT DAT 2024 comprises the type of questions that are asked in the entrance test, the mode in which the exam is conducted, the marking scheme, etc. 

According to the DAIICT DAT exam pattern, there are two parts and each of them is of 25 marks. 

• Part 1 - The questions in this section are designed in such a way as to evaluate the candidate’s imaginative visualization, drawing skills, and ability to interpret the problem.
• Part 2 - In this section of DAIICT DAT, candidates are assessed on their understanding of visual/ performative art forms, a range of design idioms, and practices from various social and cultural contexts. 

The DAIICT DAT 2024 merit list released by the authorities in online mode on June 29. The authorities commenced the DAIICT counselling  2024. The candidates can check their DAIICT counselling window at daiict.ac.in by entering their DAIICT application number and date of birth. Selected candidates can participate in the DAIICT counselling 2024. The result of the DAIICT DAT 2024 is in the form of a merit list which was prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the DAIICT DAT 2024 entrance exam, interview as well as a statement of purpose.

The weightage that is given to each i.e. entrance test and statement of purpose is given below in the table.

Candidates who were shortlisted for admission received the offer letter either through post or through an email address. 

Once the candidates have accepted the admission offer for the master's in a design programme, candidates will have to take part in DAIICT counselling 2024 followed by document verification and payment of fees once the admission is confirmed.

DAIICT DAT 2024 selection process comprises the interview and design aptitude test which those candidates will have to take who do not have a valid CEED score. DAIICT DAT exam 2024 was conducted on June 16, 2024.

Candidates who possess a valid CEED 2024 score, they will be exempted from appearing in the design aptitude test 2024. However, they have to appear for an interview based on which final selection is done.
