DAIICT MDes Eligibility Criteria 2026

The institute prescribes the DAIICT 2026 eligibility criteria on its official website - daiict.ac.in. The details of the DAIICT MDes admission eligibility criteria for 2026 are as follows:

• Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a statutory university in the streams of Fine Arts, Design, Science, Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, Technology, Applied Arts, and Performing Arts.
• Professional diplomas from nationally recognised institutions like NIFT, NID, CEPT and Srishti School of Art and Design.
• Candidates must have 55% marks or equivalent in the last qualifying degree/exam.
• There is no age limit for candidates to apply for the MDes programme.

The DAIICT MDes application form was released on March 24, 2026. Interested candidates could apply online from the official website till the extended deadline, June 5, 2026. Additionally, candidates are also required to submit a Statement of Purpose, without which their application will not be considered

The institute issued the DAIICT M.Des DAT 2026 admit card online. Registered candidates will be able to download the admit card through their login.

The institute has published the DAIICT M.Des entrance exam 2026 merit list on July 8, 2026. Candidates can check the merit list of DAIICT MDes 2026 through their login. The DAIICT MDes 2026 merit list will be prepared based on the consolidated scores of the candidates in the entrance exam and the interview.

DAIICT MDes Selection Process 2026

The DAIICT MDes admission 2026 is done based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the DAIICT DAT entrance examination and the interview, as per the assigned weightage. Only those candidates who score a minimum of 40% marks are called to attend the interview round. The DAIICT MDes 2026 admissions will also be based on the scores of the CEED design aptitude test and will be followed by an interview. Candidates who have appeared for CEED are exempt from taking the DAT. The CEED scores of such candidates will be taken in equivalence to DAT.

DAIICT MDes 2026 Counselling

Authorities have announced the DAIICT 2026 counselling dates on their official website. Candidates included in the DAIICT 2026 merit list have to confirm their seats by paying the admission fee from July 8 – 13, 2026. The waitlisted and confirmed candidates list will be released on July 15, 2026. All the confirmed candidates should visit the DAIICT campus for the registration and document verfication purpose on July 20, 2026.

DAIICT MDes Scholarship

The meritorious students of DAIICT MDes are awarded scholarships throughout the program duration. The scholarship will be awarded to the candidates semester-wise starting from the beginning of the second semester after the declaration of semester results. The DAIICT MDes Scholarship is awarded to students based on their scores obtained in each semester.
