DAIICT MDes Admission Process 2025
The DAIICT MDes admission 2025 will be done based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the DAIICT DAT entrance examination. The DAIICT MDes 2025 admissions will also be based on the scores of CEED design aptitude test and followed by an interview.
Candidates with a valid CEED score have to be qualified in Part A, and must have obtained a minimum of 25 marks in Part B. The CEED score of such candidates will be used as the DAT score. The DAIICT MDes 2025 final selection will be based on the combined scores obtained in the DAT and the interview. The weightage of DAT will be 60%, and the interview is 40% of the overall marks assigned to the admission test.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a statutory university in the streams of Fine Arts, Design, Science, Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, Technology, Applied Arts and Performing Arts.
Professional diplomas from nationally recognized institutions like NIFT, NID, CEPT and Srishti School of Art and Design.
Candidates must have 55% marks or equivalent in the last qualifying degree/exam.
There is no age limit for the candidates to apply for the MDes programme.

The DAIICT MDes DAT 2025 consists of 3 parts bearing 20 marks for each part. The candidates have to score 40% in the exam to move to the next round as an interview. Each part is conducted to test the following.
Part 1: Will be conducted to test the candidate’s drawing skills, imaginative visualisation and ability to interpret a problem.
Part 2: Will test the candidate’s recognition and understanding levels of a range of design idioms, visual or the performative art forms and practices from different social and cultural backgrounds.
Part 3: Candidates have to write a subjective response to brief the communication design.
Note: Candidates with valid CEED scores are exempted from the DAIICT DAT entrance test.
