The MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) offers different scholarships for eligible students who are planning to take admission into any of the specialized BDes programmes. The MIT World Peace University provides scholarships based on past academic excellence, performance in entrance exams, and also on sports criteria. As per the official website, authorities provide 15 to 100% scholarships in different categories based on the scores in the MIT WPU exam and UCEED exam. MIT WPU offers three major merit-based scholarships and a sports category scholarship for the BDes programme. Check the given details below to know about the MIT WPU scholarship criteria:
Dr. Vishwanath Karad Scholarship (100% Fee Waiver):
Through the Dr. Vishwanath Karad Scholarship, candidates who secure 93 or above in the MIT WPU entrance exam or secure up to 800 AIR in the UCEED exam will be eligible. Through this scholarship, the programme fee will be covered 100% for the entire course duration.
MIT-WPU Scholarship - I (50% Fee Waiver):
Through the MIT-WPU Scholarship - 1, students who have a score of 91 or above in the MIT-WPU entrance exam, or who have a rank between 801 and 2000 in the UCEED exam, will be eligible for this scholarship. Through this scholarship, candidates will receive a 50% fee waiver.
MIT-WPU Scholarship II (25% Fee Waiver):
By the MIT-WPU Scholarship – 2, students who secured 90 or above in the MIT WPU entrance exam or secured a UCEED rank between 2001 and 2500 will be eligible for this scholarship. Through this scholarship, candidates will be given a 25% fee waiver.
Apart from the merit-based scholarships, the university also provides scholarships for deserving sportspersons. Students who are representing the recognised government sports institutions at the national or international level in any of the sports events will receive a fee waiver based on their participation and achievements. Note: All the scholarships provided in the above section are given on a first-come, first-served basis and are provided as fee adjustments. Students are advised to complete the admission process as early as possible to get their scholarship.
Students must understand the criteria to continue receiving scholarships throughout the BDes programme. The criteria below should be satisfied by the students for the scholarship renewal every year.
Students are required to maintain a minimum CGPA of 8.0 in all semesters without any backlogs or semester breaks.
Students should also maintain at least 80% attendance every semester and follow the university's code of conduct.
Any violation of university rules will result in the immediate cancellation of the scholarship for the entire programme.
