The NIFT offers a BFTech curriculum with three specializations: clothing production development, management, and technology. The BFTech entrance exam is one of the more difficult tests that the NIFT Entrance Exam offers. A candidate must have earned at least 65% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 10+2 from a recognized school or college in order to be eligible to take the NIFT BFTech exam.

BFTech is a more technical exam that is different from other courses in that it tests more of your technical and practical skills than your creative ability.
With limited seats and heavy competition, It is the only entrance test that needs to be cleared and is set at appropriate difficulty. Unlike the B.Des program, it has neither a CAT nor a Situation test.
The course is called a STEM course, meaning that the NIFT-GAT question paper will have a detailed and complex emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics abilities.

The NIFT BFTech Entrance exam consists of only a GAT entrance exam which tests multiple scholastic abilities, especially your strong understanding of foundation in Science and Mathematics. Unlike the NIFT B.Des Entrance exams, this test consists of only a GAT test and requires no sketching or 3D modelling abilities as there is no CAT or Situation Test.

Yes , you are eligible for NIFT - UG 2026 . Based on your birthdate , you will be 19 years old as of August 1 , 2026 , which is well within the age limit .
NIFT requires applicants to be under 24 years of age on August 1 of the admission year , with a 5 year relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates .
