How to prepare for the UCEED 2026 Exam?

1. Focus on Mathematical Geometry

Mathematics is very important in the UCEED Syllabus 2026. As a result, when preparing for the exam, hopefuls should pay special attention to tackling complicated math questions. Reviewing previous years' UCEED papers revealed that the paper is primarily composed of Mathematical Geometry problems that assess candidates' creativity, observation, and visualization skills.

2. Improve Observation and Visualization Skills

Some of the key skills assessed in the UCEED exam is observation and design sensitivity, and in order to excel in this component of the Design exam, aspirants should closely observe everything around them, whether it is a ride home, everyday tasks at home, or school proceedings.

3. Solve sample papers and mock tests

Candidates should prepare for the UCEED by taking as many mock tests and sample papers as possible. Solving UCEED sample papers and mock tests will help you obtain a sense of the types of questions that will be asked in the entrance exam, as well as plan your approach for completing the UCEED question paper on time on exam day.

5. Study previous year's papers

The UCEED exam lasts three hours and consists of four sections: numerical answer type (NAT), multiple select questions (MSQ), multiple choice questions (MCQ), and a drawing question. To pass the exam, students must solve previous years' UCEED question papers to determine the complexity of questions offered in the design entrance exam and to create an understanding of what to expect in the UCEED exam.

6. Practice Sketching

For UCEED preparation, applicants should devote as much time as possible to figure sketching and free-hand drawing. This will be useful on the day of the exam when the candidates are asked to sketch and communicate their thought process through the designs they create.

Hello,

For admission to Ajeenkya D.Y. Patil University (ADYPU), you must score a minimum of 50% in your 12th grade for the general category. However, ADYPU conducts its own entrance exam, known as the ACET ADYPU Common Entrance Exam, which includes a studio test and a personal interview. So, you would have a chance for admission based on how well you score in the entrance exam.

Hope it helps!!!

Hello!

UCEED is a competitive exam for design aspirants, testing design aptitude, logical thinking, creativity, and visualisation skills. To improve your score out of 300, start by understanding the exam pattern—Part A (objective) and Part B (subjective). For Part A, practice reasoning, numerical aptitude, and environmental & social awareness questions. For Part B, focus on drawing, sketching, and presenting your ideas clearly. Solve past year UCEED papers and join online mock test series. Spend at least 2–3 hours daily practising creative problem-solving and sketching. Also, work on time management because the exam requires quick thinking.
