This scholarship of Rs 50000 is granted to the open category candidate who has the highest rank in the admission process, provided the rank is above 60.
The students who get the first and second rank during the first year of study can obtain a scholarship of Rs 50000 and Rs 30000, respectively.
Another NID scholarship available in the second year is the merit cum means scholarship. A student who ranks within the top 25% of the whole batch during the first year and fulfils the eligibility criteria for the EWS category will be granted a scholarship of Rs 30000.
