In order to get a seat in NID colleges in India, candidates must appear and should be qualified in the NID Design Aptitude Test. As per NID DAT exam date 2025, the NID Design Aptitude Test BDes Prelims was conducted on January 5, 2025, while DAT Mains (BDes) was held on May 3. The NID authorities declared the DAT Prelims and Mains result for both BDes and MDes programmes at admissions.nid.edu. The NID admission 2025 process includes the following steps:
Registration - To begin with, aspirants filled the online application form at admissions.nid.edu. During the NID DAT registration 2025, candidates submitted their personal, academic details, uploaded documents and paid the application fee.
Download admit card - NID issued the admit card to all the registered candidates. The NID DAT 2025 admit card was available in online mode at the official website. Only those candidates who carried the NID admit card at the exam centre were allowed to appear for the NID entrance exam 2025.
Appear for exam - Next, candidates had appeared and qualified the entrance exam (Prelims and Mains). Details of the exam date were available at the admit card.
Result and counselling - The authorities declared the NID DAT result 2025 for BDes and MDes at admissions.nid.edu. Candidates who qualified in the entrance exam have to appear for NID counselling for the seat allotment process. NID cutoff 2025 will be released by the authorities as per the schedule. Note that the NID seats will be allotted based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam.

No, IPU (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University) does not accept NID DAT Prelims score for admission to the B.Des (Bachelor of Design) program.
Instead, IPU conducts its own entrance test or may consider CUET (UG) scores for B.Des admissions, depending on the latest admission guidelines. Always refer to the university's official prospectus for the year you're applying to for the final admission criteria.
