Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has declared the UCEED exam result 2025 on March 7. UCEED entrance exam was conducted for two papers and results are announced based on candidates’ performance in both papers. UCEED result 2025 is prepared by adding marks for both parts. Through this article, candidates are provided with details on how the result of UCEED 2025 is calculated. Candidates can also check the UCEED tie-breaking rule.

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB) conducted the UCEED 2025 on January 19. The evaluation process is done by the conducting authority. UCEED evaluation criteria is done for both the parts, which is Part - A and Part - B. Where Part - A consists of multiple-choice questions (NAT, MSQ and MCQ) and Part - B consists of drawing and sketching. Candidates can check the UCEED 2025 evaluation criteria below:
Part - A of the examination consists of a computer-based test. There won’t be reviewing, re-grading or re-totalling part-A marks of the exam paper.
Part - B consist of two questions that experts will manually evaluate. There won’t be any model solution and part - B of the UCEED 2025 includes a subjective section. The part - B will be evaluated holistically on the criteria that is given in the question.
In UCEED 2025, there is no provision for re-evaluation or re-totalling. Under any circumstances, the request for re-evaluation or re-totalling will not be considered. No correspondence regarding this shall be entertained.
Shortlisting: To shortlist the candidates, the marks obtained in part - A will be considered.
The candidates who do not get shortlisted for part - B paper, will not be evaluated.
Only the shortlisted candidates will get a rank.
The candidates will not receive the evaluated answer booklets of part - B.
The answer booklets for part - B will be preserved only for three months from the date of declaration of the UCEED result 2025.

The UCEED Part B Evaluation is done manually by at least two expert evaluators but separately and independently. Candidates can check the below scheme of evaluation that is done for each question in part - B.
If there is a difference in the marks that is awarded by the two evaluators <= 10 marks, then a simple average of the two evaluators will be taken into consideration.
If there is a difference of > 10 marks, then the answer sheet of part - B will be evaluated by the third expert examiner and so on until there is a difference of <= 10 marks.
The average of the closest of two evaluations will be selected and considered as the final marks.
If there is a difference in marks of the closest of two evaluations which is >10 even after several evaluations, then a moderator will examine the answers.
If the difference in the marks between the moderator and either of the examiners are same, then the higher average marks will be taken into consideration for calculating the score.
By adding the marks scored in Part - A and Part - B, the total UCEED score will be calculated. This total score will be considered to prepare the final rank or result.

UCEED 2026- Registrations open around September–October 2025.
Pearl Academy - They have multiple admission cycles (Jan, April, June). Applications usually open by October 2025 for Jan cycle.

UCEED is a competitive exam for design aspirants, testing design aptitude, logical thinking, creativity, and visualisation skills. To improve your score out of 300, start by understanding the exam pattern—Part A (objective) and Part B (subjective). For Part A, practice reasoning, numerical aptitude, and environmental & social awareness questions. For Part B, focus on drawing, sketching, and presenting your ideas clearly. Solve past year UCEED papers and join online mock test series. Spend at least 2–3 hours daily practising creative problem-solving and sketching. Also, work on time management because the exam requires quick thinking.

For NID DAT 2026, your eligibility is established based on your born date as you are born on or after July 1st 2005. For UCEED 2026, your eligibility is dependent on your born date by category. You are eligible if you are OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 2001. If you are SC/ST/PwD category you must be born on or after October 1, 1996 in order to be eligible. Based on your born date of December 20th, 2006 for both NID DAT 2026 and UCEED 2026; you will be eligible.

Currently, NSUT does not offer a B.Des. program. However, other institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIITDM Jabalpur offer B.Des. through UCEED.
