IITs BDes fee structure at the time of admission: Admission IITs BDes fee is one time payable. Candidates have to pay IIT BDes course fees at the time of admission only. Foreign nationals do not include POI and OCI card holders.
IIT Bombay is yet to release the BDes fee structure for 2025. This is the basic overview of fee structure that almost all participating IITs charge for BDes 4 years course. However, IITs participating in UCEED entrance have the right to change the fee structure for every semester and calendar year. BDes is a 4 year (8 semesters) Bachelor in Design programme. The 4 years of design education ensures graduates to become responsible designers. So participating IITs have different curriculum for design. Institution offers major design domains such as product design, interaction design and communication design. BDes graduates are bound to translate ideas into demonstrable solutions.

Yes, BDes is available in IITs. IITs Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati take admission in BDes through UCEED undergraduate common entrance exam for design. Moreover, the candidates need to apply separately on the official website of participating IITs.
Fees for BDes in IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati are approximately from 8 lakh to 10 lakh. However, these IITs have the right to increase or decrease the amount of fees.
Candidates should have qualified the UCEED and obtained rank in it. Students from all streams such as science, commerce, Arts, humanities are eligible. The candidates should have passed the class 12th or equivalent are eligible.

UCEED is a competitive exam for design aspirants, testing design aptitude, logical thinking, creativity, and visualisation skills. To improve your score out of 300, start by understanding the exam pattern—Part A (objective) and Part B (subjective). For Part A, practice reasoning, numerical aptitude, and environmental & social awareness questions. For Part B, focus on drawing, sketching, and presenting your ideas clearly. Solve past year UCEED papers and join online mock test series. Spend at least 2–3 hours daily practising creative problem-solving and sketching. Also, work on time management because the exam requires quick thinking.

For NID DAT 2026, your eligibility is established based on your born date as you are born on or after July 1st 2005. For UCEED 2026, your eligibility is dependent on your born date by category. You are eligible if you are OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 2001. If you are SC/ST/PwD category you must be born on or after October 1, 1996 in order to be eligible. Based on your born date of December 20th, 2006 for both NID DAT 2026 and UCEED 2026; you will be eligible.

Currently, NSUT does not offer a B.Des. program. However, other institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIITDM Jabalpur offer B.Des. through UCEED.
