NIFT MFM Admission 2027: Overview

What is the NIFT MFM Course?

Master of Fashion Management (MFM) is a course offered at NIFT campuses. NIFT MFM course is designed to develop leadership talents in the students so that they can take up the diverse field of fashion designing with ease. Students get exposure to creative merchandising/marketing, innovative fashion management practices, retail operations, forecasting, international marketing, international trade practices, Information technology developments and project formulation. They are also given directions of fashion trends and business practices through field visits and industry internships. Research, data analysis and decision-making skills are also inculcated in the MFM curriculum.

NIFT MFM Eligibility 2027

Candidates seeking NIFT MFM admission are advised to check the NIFT eligibility criteria prescribed for admission into the MFM programme. The eligibility criteria for NIFT MFM are published in the NIFT admission prospectus. The eligibility criteria pertain to the minimum educational qualification, minimum passing marks, and age limit, if any. Interested candidates must go through the NIFT MFM eligibility criteria before completing their registration.

Age Limit:

There is no age limit to apply for NIFT MFM admission.

Educational Qualifications:

• Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute/ University recognised by law in India. OR
• Undergraduate Diploma of a minimum three-year duration from NIFT/NID.

NIFT MFM Application Form 2027

NTA will open the NIFT MFM application form tentatively in November 2026. Candidates can submit the NIFT application form online. The steps to submit the NIFT 2027 MFM application form.

• Students should create a login account for the NIFT MFM registration process. Candidates need to click on online registration by submitting basic details such as the name of the candidate, date of birth, valid email address and more.
• Next, log in using the generated credentials and complete filling out the form by submitting personal, communication and academic details. Also, select the preferred exam centres.
• Next, upload the scanned images of the relevant documents in order to complete the NIFT MFM application form.
• Finally, pay the NIFT application fee using net banking or credit card or debit card. The application fee varies according to the category of the candidates as well as the number of exams they are appearing for.

NIFT MFM Syllabus 2027

NIFT MFM exam consists of the GAT (Section A and Section B) exam, which tests a student's design aptitude. The syllabus of NIFT MFM includes sections on logical reasoning, English comprehension, communication, quantitative abilities, analytical ability, case study, and general knowledge. The students can check out the previous year's question papers to gain a better understanding of the questions asked in the NIFT MFM exam syllabus. If a student qualifies the GAT exam, he/ she should appear for the Personal Interview round.

NIFT MFM Exam Pattern 2027

Students must know the exam pattern for the MFM courses which can help them score better. MFM is a postgraduate course which consists of two steps. The first step is to appear for the GAT exam, and the second step is, to appear for the Personal Interview Round. The weightage of the GAT exam is 70% and the weightage of PI is 30%. The GAT exam consists of MCQ on quantitative abilities, logic reasoning, English and general knowledge. There is a -0.25 negative marking.

NIFT MFM Admit Card 2027

NIFT MFM admit card will be issued tentatively 3-4 days before the exam. The admit card of NIFT MFM notifies the candidates about their centre, time slot, and other important instructions. Candidates are required to download the admit card and carry the printout along with an identity proof to the exam centre. Candidates must also review the details provided in the hall ticket and ensure there are no discrepancies.

NIFT MFM Answer Key 2027

NTA will release the NIFT MFM answer key on its official website. Candidates can download the NIFT MFM answer key through their login, along with their own responses. Candidates will also be allowed to submit their objections and challenge the provisional answer key as per the schedule that will be provided.

NIFT MFM Result 2027

NIFT MFM Results for the entrance exam will be declared tentatively in March 2027. After the interview rounds, the NIFT final result will be declared. The NIFT MFM admissions are done based on the candidate's rank in the final result as per their entrance exam score and performance in the interview round.

NIFT MFM Counselling 2027

Students who successfully qualify in the exam and the interview are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The NIFT counselling dates will be made available on the official website of NIFT. There will be several rounds of counselling for NIFT MFM admissions. There is no fee for NIFT counselling registration.
