Master of Fashion Management (MFM) is a course offered at NIFT campuses. NIFT MFM Application Form 2026

The NIFT 2026 MFM Admission application process tentatively begins in November 2025. NTA NIFT MFM 2026 application form will be released at exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. Students should fill in the application form before the last date to apply for NIFT MFM exam 2026. Students must follow the steps below to fill the NIFT 2026 MFM application form.

  • Students should create a login account for the NIFT 2026 MFM registration process. Candidates need to click on online registration by submitting basic details such as name of the candidate, date of birth, valid email address and more.

  • Next, login using the generated credentials and complete filling out the form by submitting personal, communication and academic details. Also, select the preferred exam centres.

  • Next, upload the scanned images of the relevant documents in order to complete the NIFT MFM application form 2026.

  • Finally, pay the NIFT application fee using net banking or credit card or debit card. The application fee is Rs.3000.

NIFT MFM Syllabus 2026

NIFT MFM exam consists of the GAT exam, which tests a student's design aptitude. The syllabus of NIFT MFM includes sections on logical reasoning, English comprehension, communication, quantitative abilities, analytical ability, case study, and general knowledge. The students can check out the previous year question papers to gain a better knowledge about the NIFT MFM exam syllabus. If a student qualifies the GAT exam, he/ she should appear for the GD/PI round.

NIFT MFM Exam Pattern 2026

Students must know the exam pattern for the MFM courses which can help them score better. MFM is a postgraduate course which consists of two steps. The first step is to appear for the GAT exam and the second step is, if the students qualify, they should appear in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview Round. The weightage of the GAT exam is 70% and the weightage of GD/PI is 30%. The GAT exam consists of MCQ on quantitative abilities, logic reasoning, English and general knowledge. There is a -0.25 negative marking.

NIFT MFM Admit Card 2026

NIFT MFM 2026 Admit card will be released by NTA online, tentatively in February. The admit card of NIFT MFM notifies the candidates about their centre, time slot, and other important instructions. Candidates are required to download the admit card and carry the printout along with an identity proof to the exam centre. Candidates must also review the details provided in the hall ticket and ensure there are no discrepancies.

NIFT MFM Answer Key 2026

The NIFT MFM answer key will be released by NTA at its official website in February (tentatively). Candidates can download the NIFT MFM answer key through their login along with their own response. Candidates will also be allowed to submit their objections and challenge the provisional answer key as per the schedule that will be provided.

NIFT MFM Result 2026

NIFT MFM Results will be declared tentatively in April 2026 on the official website of NTA. Candidates can download the result of NIFT MFM through their login. Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for a personal interview. The NIFT MFM admissions are done based on the candidate's rank in the final result as per their entrance exam score and performance in the interview round.

NIFT MFM Counselling 2026

Students who successfully qualify in the exam and the interview are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The NIFT counselling dates will be made available on the official website of NIFT. There will be three rounds of counselling for NIFT MFM admissions 2026. There is no fee for NIFT counselling registration. However, if a candidate is selected he or she might have to pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 1,83,200.

Yes, a diploma holder in Computer Engineering can apply for the NIFT entrance exam , but only through the lateral entry route.

NIFT allows candidates with a 3-year or 4-year engineering diploma from a recognized board to apply for B.F.Tech (Fashion Technology) through lateral entry. The diploma must be approved by AICTE or the State Technical Board.

The age limit is usually 24 years for the general category.

So yes, you are eligible, as Computer Engineering is an engineering diploma.

In nift entrance exam My OBC rank is 1910 and CMR is 7192 I want a seat in FC. I had filled all the colleges, but I didn't get any seat in the first 2nd round. What should I do now?

With an OBC rank of 1910 and CMR 7192, your chances can improve in the upcoming counselling rounds as more students withdraw or shift to other colleges.
So make sure to check the further rounds of counselling and don’t lose hope. Many students get seats in the 3rd, 4th, and mop-up rounds. You can also consider updating your preference list or keeping a wider range of courses and campuses open in case you're okay with related fields.
