NSUT BDes Selection Process 2025

Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) is one of the premier institutions dedicated to advancing technological education, research and innovation. For aspiring candidates, NSUT offers a wide range of Bachelor of Design programmes including product design, game design, communication design, and more. Selection process for NSUT BDesign admission 2025 is as follows:

  • First Priority

Amity University, B.Design Admissions 2025

Ranked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings)

Indian Institute of Art & Design Admissions 2025

Associated with FDCI, CII & IIFTI | Merit-cum-means scholarships to deserving students

Students who have cleared “UCEED”entrance exam conducted by IIT Bombay, will be given the first priority.

  • Second Priority

Second priority will be given to those students who have secured a rank in a National Level “Design” Entrance Examination (or an entrance exam in allied Design fields), for a four year course of any Central (“Government of India”) funded Institute/University.

  • Third Priority

Third priority will be given to those students who have secured a rank in a State Level “Design” Entrance Examination (or an entrance exam in allied Design fields), for a four year course of any State Government funded Institute/University. Third priority will be given to those students who have secured a rank in a State Level “Design” Entrance Examination (or an entrance exam in allied Design fields), for a four year course of any State Government funded Institute/University.

Important points:

  • Only General/Open/All India ranks of the entrance examinations will be considered.

  • Category ranks will not be considered.

  • The preliminary exam scores will only be considered in case of Institutes that conduct a preliminary entrance examination followed by a final examination.

  • If two or more applicants have the same rank, then the candidate with higher marks in 12th grade exam (best of four subjects - Language plus three) will be considered.

  • If there is a tie in the Class 12 marks as well, the candidate older in age will be ranked higher.

NSUT Eligibility Criteria for BDes Course

Candidates appearing for the NSUT admission process for BDes 2025 at Netaji Subhas University of Technology, the seats will be given to the candidates who fulfil the below NSUT BDEs admission eligibility listed in order of preference.

  • Delhi Region Candidates (85% of seats)

A candidate should have passed the 12th (10+2) class examination from a recognized School/ College/Institute located within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi to be considered for Delhi Region only.

  • Outside Delhi Region Candidates (15% of seats)

Aspirants should have passed the 12th (10+2) class examination from a recognized School / College/Institute located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi to be considered for Outside the Delhi Region only.

Note 1: For a candidate, who has passed the qualifying examination through Patrachar Vidyalaya, Delhi/ National Institute of Open School, Delhi (NIOS), the criterion for deciding the region shall be the location of his/her centre of examination. In other words, if the centre of examination is located in the NCT of Delhi, the candidate shall be considered under the Delhi Region and if the centre of examination is located outside the NCT of Delhi, he/she shall be considered under the Outside Delhi Region.

Note 2: Candidates who have appeared at the 12th class examination and have been placed in the compartment will not be eligible for admission. Note 3: The conversion of vacant Outside Delhi Region seats to Delhi Region seats and vice versa will be done.

How to register for NSUT BDes admission?

Candidates seeking admission to the BDes. programmes at NSUT are required to pay a non-refundable registration-cum-counselling fee. Candidates can visit the official website- nsut.ac.in for online payment of registration fees. After successfully paying the counselling fee, candidates can visit the website nsut.ac.in and click on the “New Registration" link. Fill in the basic details in the online registration form, which shall be used for the allotment of seats.

Candidates must check the NSUT BDEs admission eligibility before filling the application form. The application form should be filled before the deadline. Below are the steps to be followed:

  • Visit the official website- nsut.ac.in

  • Click on NSUT registration link

  • Fill in the required details and register yourself

  • Click on the application form link

  • Enter login credentials

  • Fill out the personal details and academic information

  • Upload the documents

  • Pay the prescribed fee to complete the application process

  • Download and take a printout of the application form for future reference

NSUT BDes Allotment Result 2025

As per the Counselling schedule displayed on the NSUT website the result of seat allotment in various rounds will be declared. The seat allotment will be provisional and is subject to verification of original certificates and payment of university admission fee online before counselling. Below are the steps to download the results:

  • Go to the official website

  • Click on the results tab

  • Enter the login credentials- roll number and date of birth

  • The results will be displayed on the screen

  • Download the result

NSUT will release a Provisional Admission letter in the candidate’s login account on the website for those allotted a seat in any round. It is mandatory for the candidates to take a printout of this letter and report at the university with original documents for the document verification.

Documents Required During Counselling

  • Receipt of the Admission Fee Payment

  • Online created Registration Form duly signed by guardian/parent and candidate.

  • Three passport size photographs.

  • Printout of the Admit Card & Score Card of National/State Level Entrance Exam

  • Mark sheet of Class 12 or equivalent.

  • Printout out of seat allotment letter downloaded from nsut.ac.in.

  • Date of Birth Certificate as indicated in class 10 or equivalent examination.

  • Reserved category/sub-category Certificate.

  • Medical fitness certificate original in case of General / SC / ST / CW / OBC / EWS.

  • PD sub-category: A certificate from the Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Physically Handicapped Karkardooma, Vikas Marg, Delhi-110092 is to be produced at the time of counselling/admission, which will certify that the applicant is fit for undergoing the said course.

Candidates who will be allotted seats in the university must pay the full amount of the admission fee through the online fee payment gateway of the official NSUT website. A candidate, who is allotted a seat in the university, is required to pay the full amount. Candidates should note that admission fees may be accepted in the form of Demand Draft in the name of Registrar, NSUT (payable in Delhi) in spot round only.
