NID DAT 2016 Seat Allotment – National Institute of Design (NID) conducts Seat Allotment of NID DAT 2016 after the three stages of the selection process for admission to 4-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) programme are over. Candidates have to appear in NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2016 to be conducted at test centres specified by NID in various cities across India. Candidates, shortlisted on the basis of scores obtained in DAT (Stage 1), have to appear for the Stage 2 and Stage 3 exams of the admissions process, at NID Ahmedabad campus.
Once all the three stages of admission are over, the NID DAT Seat Allotment 2016 process will be conducted. The 4-year B.Des programme at NID’s Ahmedabad campus is offered in the various areas of specialization.

Successful candidates admitted to NID’s B.Des programme will have to undergo a mandatory foundation programme of one year duration. Allotment of a discipline of choice at the end of the foundation programme is based solely on the student’s performance and on the number of seats available in the desired discipline.

NID Design Aptitude Test is an exam through which aspirants are shortlisted for admission in UG and PG design courses offered at the prestigious NID campuses. Candidates need to clear two NID admission tests in order to be eligible for admission in Bachelor’s Graduate and Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) and other courses offered at its campuses . Earlier, NID offered admission in its five campuses through NID entrance exam. However, from 2019 onwards two more NID campuses, that is, NID Bhopal and NID Jorhat also started offering admission in GDPD course on the basis of NID admission test.
