NID DAT 2016 Seat Allotment – National Institute of Design (NID) conducts Seat Allotment of NID DAT 2016 after the three stages of the selection process for admission to 4-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) programme are over. Admission Process to NID for B.Des programmes is done in three stages i.e. Stage 1- Design Aptitude Test (DAT), Stage 2- Studio Test and Stage 3- Personal Interview.

Candidates have to appear in NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2016 to be conducted at test centres specified by NID in various cities across India. Candidates, shortlisted on the basis of scores obtained in DAT (Stage 1), have to appear for the Stage 2 and Stage 3 exams of the admissions process, at NID Ahmedabad campus.

 

Once all the three stages of admission are over, the NID DAT Seat Allotment 2016 process will be conducted. The 4-year B.Des programme at NID’s Ahmedabad campus is offered in the various areas of specialization.

Successful candidates admitted to NID’s B.Des programme will have to undergo a mandatory foundation programme of one year duration. Allotment of a discipline of choice at the end of the foundation programme is based solely on the student’s performance and on the number of seats available in the desired discipline.

Hello there!

Greetings!

NID Design Aptitude Test is an exam through which aspirants are shortlisted for admission in UG and PG design courses offered at the prestigious NID campuses. Candidates need to clear two NID admission tests in order to be eligible for admission in Bachelor’s Graduate and Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) and other courses offered at its campuses . Earlier, NID offered admission in its five campuses through NID entrance exam. However, from 2019 onwards two more NID campuses, that is, NID Bhopal and NID Jorhat also started offering admission in GDPD course on the basis of NID admission test.

National Institute of design has released NID DAT online application form on 1st October 2019.Last date to apply is 7 November 2019..And last date to apply with late fine is 13 November,2019..

Dear Prem, for being eligible for NID DAT, Candidates should be either appearing for 12th exams or should have passed their 12th, with age not exceeding more than 20. My DOB is 2 May 1997 so I will be 23 years and 2 months old , but the eigibility criteria for bachelors in NID is 20+3=23 for SC students, am I eligible?

The Bachelor of Design program at NID is of 4 years and is led at the Ahmedabad grounds. The absolute number of seats for the B . Des program including the held seats are 100. The supernumerary seats in Bachelor of plan for abroad up-and-comers is 15.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for the up-and-comers under this course is 20 years at the very latest July 30, 2020. The saved class applicants can profit an age unwinding of 3 years in the given upper age limit.

For General Category, the applicants conceived at the very latest July 1, 2000 would be ineligible.

For Reserved Category (OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PH), the applicants conceived at the very latest July 1, 1995 would be ineligible.
