NIFT Second Round 2025
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducts two rounds, namely NIFT entrance exam, situation test for UG aspirants and the personal interview round for PG. NIFT's first round is GAT & CAT exams which is common to both UG and PG students. NIFT 2025 second round is a situation test for UG students, whereas for PG candidates, the second round is a personal interview round. Candidates must make sure they appear for both rounds. The NIFT second round will be conducted tentatively in April, 2025.

The NTA will soon announce the NIFT 2025 second round date on the official website. Although the second round will be conducted in April 2025. The UG and PG candidates must keep track of the NIFT notification 2025 to not miss out on the NIFT second round 2025 date.
NIFT Second Round 2025 Eligibility
Candidates who want to pursue their UG or PG in NIFT must appear for both the rounds, namely NIFT 2025 first round and NIFT second round 2025. Aspirants who appeared for NIFT 2025 (GAT & CAT), qualify the entrance exam and are shortlisted will be eligible for the NIFT 2025 second round. The NIFT second round will be held for UG and PG candidates after getting shortlisted. Only the shortlisted candidates can appear for the second round.

NIFT Second Round 2025 Pattern for UG
The shortlisted BDes candidates must appear for the situation test. The situation test is a hands-on test which evaluates a candidate’s skills of material handling and innovative ability in a given situation, with the given set of materials. The BDes candidates will be asked to make a model. The model will be evaluated based on the below parameters:

The above-listed parameters will be checked with the write-up explaining the concept behind the model that is constructed. The evaluation of the situation test will be done by the jury on the spot. The model will not be preserved for future use or reference.
NOTE:
The medium of instruction in NIFT is English, the write-up must be written inthe English language only.
There won’t be any marks allotted for the write-up, which is written in any other language.
No use of outside or additional material in making the model or design will be entertained.
Candidates trying to disclose their identity by writing their personal information or identification mark on the model or design or writeup will be disqualified.
The final result of the disqualified candidates will not be declared.
NIFT Second Round 2025 Pattern for PG
The shortlisted MDes candidates, after the written entrance examination, must appear for a Personal Interview (PI). The aspirants will be evaluated based on the below parameters, listed by a panel in the Personal Interview. Candidates can check the below-mentioned parameters before appearing for the interview:

Overall personal achievements in academics and co-curricular activities

General awareness, aptitude, and creative and lateral thinking.

NIFT Second Round 2025 City Intimation Slip
The officials have not yet announced the NIFT 2025 second-round city intimation slip date. The NIFT second round 2025 city intimation slip will be released after the declaration of the NIFT result 2025. The city intimation slip consists of the city name of the exam centre of the applicants. The NIFT 2025 city allotment slip will help the candidates plan their travel accordingly in order to appear for the situation test on time.

Hello aspirant,
The nationwide Institute of Fashion Technology offers a nationwide entrance exam called NIFT for admission to its fashion design programmes.
Every course has specific requirements that must be met in order to apply. For NIFT, there is no minimum age requirement, however it is evident that passing the 10+2 exam is a requirement in order to be admitted to any undergraduate programme in fashion design.
You cannot be admitted because you are in class eleven. However, you can apply to NIFT for experience and practice, and if your application is accepted, you can take the entrance exam. If you pass, however, be aware that you will not be able to retain your results for admission.

Yes, you can appear for the NIFT 2024 exam even if your 12th board exams are scheduled after the NIFT exam. NIFT allows students to take the exam as long as they are in their final year of school education. If you qualify for the exam, you can submit your 12th-grade results after your board exams. Just ensure you meet the eligibility criteria, and provide your 12th marks once the results are declared.

Yes! If you want to pursue your under graduation from nift after 12th or even if you are appearing for12th exam then you are eligible to apply for the exam. There are several courses offered by nift which includes undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
Age (Undergraduate degree programmes) -
- General - the maximum age should be less than 24 years as on 1st august in the year of examination
- Reserved category - 5 years relaxation
