NIFT Second Round 2025: An Overview

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducts two rounds, namely the NIFT entrance exam and the situation test for UG aspirants and the personal interview round for PG. NIFT's first round was the GAT & CAT exams, which were common to both UG and PG students. NIFT 2025 second round was a situation test for UG students, whereas for PG candidates, the second round was a personal interview round. Candidates had appeared for both rounds.

NIFT Second Round 2025 Date

The National Testing Agency conducted the NIFT situation test 2025 for B.Design from 10 AM to 12 noon on June 8. The authorities issued the NIFTEE second round admit card 2025 for UG programmes on June 2 at exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/. The NTA announced the NIFT 2025 second round date for both UG and PG programmes on the official website. The NIFT second round 2025 dates for PG were May 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and June 2, 3. and for M.F.Tech programme the second round was conducted on June 3 itself. NIFT Second Round 2025 Eligibility

Candidates who want to pursue their UG or PG in NIFT must appear for both rounds, namely the NIFT 2025 first round and the NIFT second round 2025. Aspirants who appeared for NIFT 2025 (GAT & CAT), qualified for the entrance exam, and shortlisted were eligible for the NIFT 2025 second round. The NIFT second round was held for UG and PG candidates after getting shortlisted. Only the shortlisted candidates could appear for the second round.

The officials have released the NIFT 2025 second round pattern along with the notification for both UG and PG.

NIFT Second Round 2025 Pattern for UG

The shortlisted BDes candidates appeared for the situation test. The situation test was a hands-on test that evaluates a candidate’s skills of material handling and innovative ability in a given situation with the given set of materials. The BDes candidates were asked to make a model. The model was evaluated based on the below parameters:

• Space Visualisation
• Innovative and Creative use of given material
• Composition of elements
• Color scheme
• Construction skill
• Finesse of the model and
• Overall presentation

The above-listed parameters were checked with the write-up explaining the concept behind the model that was constructed. The evaluation of the situation test was done by the jury on the spot. The model will not be preserved for future use or reference.

NOTE:

• The medium of instruction in NIFT is English; the write-up must be written in the English language only.
• There won’t be any marks allotted for the write-up, which is written in any other language.
• No use of outside or additional material in making the model or design will be entertained.
• Candidates trying to disclose their identity by writing their personal information or identification mark on the model or design or writeup will be disqualified.
• The final result of the disqualified candidates will not be declared.

NIFT Second Round 2025 Pattern for PG

The shortlisted MDes candidates, after the written entrance examination, appeared for a personal interview (PI). The aspirants were evaluated based on the below parameters, listed by a panel in the personal interview. Candidates can check the below-mentioned parameters before appearing for the interview:

• Aptness for the course
• Overall personal achievements in academics and co-curricular activities
• Communication
• General awareness, aptitude, and creative and lateral thinking.

NIFT Second Round 2025 City Intimation Slip

The officials released the NIFT 2025 second-round city intimation slip on May 24 for UG aspirants. For PG aspirants the NIFT 2025 second round was conducted only in Delhi.
