IIT Bombay offers a unique B.Des course through the Industrial Designs Centre at the institute. The unique place of the program comes from its dual degree nature. Students can have the choice to pursue and integrate BDes and MDes in the third year of their B.Des program. The duration of the B.Des course is 4 years, and the integrated course is 5 years. The department of design at IIT Guwahati offers a four year B.Des programme through UCEED. The course is designed to teach the students design from the very basic level. IIITDM Jabalpur has a B.Des course which aims to provide a holistic perspective of design to the students. The curriculum is designed to develop designers with strong fundamentals about designing and who can navigate through the complex area of designing.
