The NIFT-GAT syllabus typically consists of 5 subjects which are Communication Ability & English Comprehension, Quantitative ability, Analytical ability, General knowledge, and current affairs. In NIFT preparation important topics, one topic that is mostly overlooked by the student is usually related to the Situation Test. Once the student is qualified in both GAT and CAT exams, they enter the situation test, where they will be exposed to a variety of materials that are provided by the institute itself. The weightage of the NIFT Situation Test in the exam is 20%. Most often, the materials provided will be Mount board, Aluminum foil, Needle & thread, Transparent sheet, Pins, Green/blue and red clay, Beads, Colour paper (Blue and red), Ice cream sticks, Long sticks, Cloth, Thick Sheets, Foil paper.
