NIFT 2019NIFT 2019 - National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), will be conducting NIFT 2019 in January for admissions to B.Des and B.F.Tech programmes. As many as 2,370 seats across Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech) programmes will be allocated to the qualified candidates on merit basis. Every year, nearly 23,000 aspirants appear for this national level exam. NIFT 2019 entrance exam, which will be a pen and paper based test, will be held for admissions across the Institute’s 16 campuses situated in New Delhi, Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Kangra, Chennai, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Patna, Srinagar, Kannur, Raebareli, Shillong and Kolkata. The official notification of NIFT 2019 is expected to be released in second week of October 2018, and the online application procedure will commence from next week. The NIFT 2019 application form / registration window will be available till last week of December. NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates, who are interested in applying for the undergraduate design and fashion technology courses, can check the prescribed eligibility criteria of NIFT admission 2019 below: 

  • Maximum age-23 years as on October 1, 2018. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of five years for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently Abled Person (PHP).

  • Educational qualification- Aspirants must have cleared the +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination.

NIFT Application Form 2019

The application form of NIFT 2019 can be filled between third week of October and last week of December 2018. The application fee for NIFT 2019 form has to be paid through online payment gateway or through bank demand draft issued in favour of “NIFT HO” payable at New Delhi.

  • Fee for General/OBC (Non-Creamy) Category- Rs.1500 through payment gateway or demand draft

  • Fee for SC/ST/PHP Category- Rs.750 through payment gateway or Demand Draft

Those applying for NIFT 2019 via demand draft are required to send the printout of the duly completed NIFT 2019 application form along with the demand draft to the following address:

Application Procedure for NIFT Admission 2019- Steps to Follow

  • New candidates should create login ID.

  • Already logged in candidates have to complete the process of filling online application form.

  • After submitting it, they need to check status of their NIFT 2019 application.

  • At last, they can download their admit card also.

Applicants should keep a printout/photocopy of the NIFT application form 2019 for further reference along with proof of payment.

 

NIFT 2019 Application Form Correction

It is expected that like every year, candidates filling NIFT 2019 application form will be given a chance to edit the details filled by them. It will be available from last week of December 2018 to first week of January 2019. If any incorrect or false information is found at a later stage, then NIFT has the right to cancel the candidature. The details submitted at this stage cannot be edited later.

 

NIFT Admit Card 2019

The admit card of NIFT 2019 will be available in online mode from second week of January onwards. Only those candidates can download the NIFT 2019 admit card who have submitted their application correctly before the last date. The NIFT admit card will display the details that are entered by the candidates in application form of NIFT 2019. They must take its printout for future purposes. The admit card will not be sent via post.

  

NIFT Exam Centres 2019

The paper based test (PBT) will be conducted in third week of January across 32 exam cities. A candidate can select only one exam centre for NIFT 2019. At any stage, no request for change in the NIFT 2019 exam centre will be entertained.

Candidates should note that no one will be allowed inside the examination hall without a valid hall ticket. Mobiles and other infotech gadgets are not allowed inside the NIFT 2019 test centre. Candidates will have to reach the test centre at least half an hour before the commencement of the NIFT entrance exam.

NIFT Exam Pattern 2019

The written test of NIFT 2019, Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), will evaluate the test-takers’ knowledge, abilities and design aptitude. Candidates seeking B.Des. admissions will have to appear for both- CAT and GAT, while those looking for admission in B.F.Tech programme will have to take GAT only. Moreover, the candidates shortlisted after CAT and GAT have to appear for situation test as well.   

 

Exam Pattern of NIFT 2019 Creative Ability Test (CAT) for Bachelor of Design

This test will judge the intuitive ability, observation power in concept development and design ability of the test-takers. An important aspect is to evaluate the creative and innovative use of colour and illustration skills.

Exam Pattern of NIFT 2019 Situation Test for Bachelor of Design

The situation test conducted by NIFT will be a hands-on test for evaluating material handling and imaginative skills on a given situation with a given set of materials.

NIFT Syllabus 2019

NIFT 2019 syllabus varies for CAT and GAT. In GAT, the questions evaluating quantitative ability, communication ability, English comprehension, leadership qualities, problem-solving approach, analytical & logical ability, general knowledge and current affairs.

 

In CAT, design & discernment abilities, observation power and creativity are assessed.

 

NIFT Answer Key 2019

The answer key of NIFT 2019 is not released by the Institute. If it is released officially or by any reputed coaching institute, then Careers360 will provide it here for download. 

 

NIFT Result 2019

NIFT 2019 result of the written exams, CAT and GAT, will be announced in the fourth week of March. The shortlisted candidates for B.Des admissions have to appear for another test, situation test. The NIFT result will be declared in online mode in third week of May. For B.F.Tech admissions, GAT is the final test for selection.

NIFT Cutoff 2019

Cutoff of NIFT 2019, which is the programme, category and campus-wise closing rank is released by the Institute. NIFT 2019 cutoff will help the candidates in knowing the last merit ranks required for admissions in a particular programme and campus.

NIFT Counselling 2019

First round of NIFT 2019 counselling will be conducted in second and third week of June for B.Des. and B.FTech. admissions. The second round will be held in third week of July. Counselling of NIFT 2018 will have to be attended by the qualified candidates as per the announced schedule. The required documents have to be produced during NIFT 2019 counselling procedure for verification purpose.

A total of 2,370 seats across B.Des. and B.FTech. programmes are allocated as per the set guidelines for seat reservation of NIFT admission 2019. The details are as follows:

There will be no minimum required to attent the entrance exam of NIFT. But the thing is you have to be Qualified in the 12th. And you can apply when the result is out.
