NIFT Entrance Exam 2024 : The NTA released the NIFT final answer key on April 26, 2024.  The NIFT 2024 final answer key is available for UG and PG courses on its admission portal - nta.ac.in/NIFT, which serve as a basis for NIFT 2024 final results. NIFT final results will be declared likely in the last week of April, 2024.

Candidates can download the NIFT 2024 situation test results which will be available on the NTA NIFT admission portal by using the login credentials. Candidates who have been selected can look forward to the NIFT 2024 counselling. The NIFT counselling dates will be announced shortly on the NIFT website, which is www.nift.ac.in.2024. The authorities released the NIFT admit card for situation test, studio test and interview, technical ability test and interview on April 9, 2024. To download the NIFT admit card, candidates could use the login credentials such as application number and date of birth. Candidates need to ensure the barcode on the admit card while downloading the NIFT situation test admit card 2024. The NIFT advanced intimation slip for the Situation test 2024 was released on April 5. The National Testing Agency released the NIFT stage II situation test and personal interview dates on the official website - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/. The NIFT entrance exam was conducted on February 5, 2024. The Authorities had scheduled the dates for situation test/ studio test/ TAT/ personal interview for the bachelor's programme on April 13, 2024. The NIFT situation test timings were 10 am to 12 noon, Technical Ability Test (TAT) timings were 10 am to 11 am. Personal interview timings were from 2 pm onwards. Earlier, the authorities scheduled the personal interview dates for PG programmes such as M.Des, MFM, and MFTech in Offline mode. For M.F.Tech programmes, personal interview was scheduled from April 1 to April 2, 2024. For MFM Programme, Personal interview took place from April 1 to April 3, 2024. For M.Des programme, Personal interviews was conducted from April 4  to April 6, 2024.

The National Testing Agency has declared the NIFT 2024 results on its official website - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/. Candidates could download the NIFT results 2024 by entering the NIFT login credentials such as application number and password or date of birth. Interviews for the Master's Programmes at NIFT was held from April 1-6, 2024 in Delhi. NIFT 2024 counselling was conducted to fill 5,215 UG and PG design seats for the NIFT-qualified candidates. Students appearing in the NIFT entrance exam need to secure the minimum NIFT Cut off to gain admission at NIFT campuses.  The cutoff is the last merit rank in which candidates are offered design course admission in seventeen NIFT campuses.

National Institute of Fashion Technology admission was wholly based on the candidate's performance in the NIFT 2024 entrance exam. B.Des and M.Des candidates had to appear in the Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), and Situation Test/ GD/ PI. What is the entrance exam for NIFT?

The National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance exam was conducted for admission in NIFT. It was conducted at a national level to shortlist candidates for admission in design programmes namely - Bachelor of Design (B.Des), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech), Master of Design (M.Des), Master of Fashion Management (MFM), and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech). How many students appeared for NIFT 2024?

National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release details on the number of students registered and appeared in NIFT 2024. In the meantime, aspirants can check the number of students registered for NIFT in previous years.

• Students who will appear in the final year of the qualifying examination can also take NIFT 2024.
• If the result of class 12/ final semester/ final year is still unannounced by the respective university/ board till the NIFT admission procedure, then such a candidate will be given provisional admission subject to these conditions:
• The final result of the qualifying result should be presented before September 2024.
• Affidavit (duly signed) of Rs. 10 on non-judicial stamp paper
• Those students will be considered for provisional admission and will appear for the compartment exam of class 12. It is mandatory to pass the exam under the same board.

The application form for the NIFT entrance exam 2024 was released on December 5, 2023. Interested and eligible candidates were able to fill out and submit the application form for NIFT 2024 online by providing the required details and documents on the official website -nift.ntaonline.in.

To complete the application process, students have to pay an application fee of Rs 3000 (Rs 1500 for SC/ ST) in online mode. If you miss the opportunity to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form in a given time period, then apply by paying the late fee of Rs 5000 by January 8, 2024. How to fill out NIFT Application Form 2024

The steps to fill out the NIFT application form are given below:

• Step 1 - Candidates have to create their login ID
• Step 2- After that, they will have to log in and fill out the application form
• Step 3 - Next, candidates have to upload the requisite documents as per the specified specifications
• Step 4- Make the payment - Applicants have to pay the requisite fee online mode using a net banking/ credit/ debit card. The application fee for candidates who belong to general/ OBC (Non-creamy) categories is Rs. 2000 while those who fall under SC/ ST/ PHP categories will have to pay Rs. 1000.
• Step 5- Submission of application form - Applicants should not forget to keep a printout/photocopy of the NIFT 2024 application form for future reference, along with proof of payment.

Window to update/ edit NIFT Entrance Exam Application Form

The authority provided an opportunity for candidates to correct the information in their application if needed. Candidates, however, could not change the NIFT exam centre later once it had been filled. If the application form was found ineligible for NIFT 2024 admissions after editing it, the application fee that had already been paid was not refunded and the candidature of an applicant was cancelled.

The exam pattern of NIFT entrance exam 2024 for the Creative Ability Test namely CAT has not been released by the authorities yet, Candidates are advsied to focus on concept development and design as questions will be designed to test them in these areas. They must be creative and make innovative use of their colour and illustration skills.

Generally three questions are asked for a total of 30 marks and candidates are tested accordingly.

NIFT Entrance Exam M.Des Exam Pattern

NTA has announced the personal interview dates for M.Des programme on its official website -exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/. To download the personal interview call letter, candidates can use their login credentials such as application number and date of birth. Qualified candidates can participate in personal interview from April 4 to April 6, 2024.

NIFT 2024 Situation Test will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates of CAT and GAT for B.Des admissions. This will be held separately for those who have qualified. The situation test is a hands-on test used to evaluate the candidate’s skills for material handling as well as the innovative ability in a given situation with a given set of materials.

The Exam Pattern of the Situation Test can be summarised as follows:

• Duration: two hours
• Test involves: Design of one three dimensional (3D) model.

Note: Candidates will be provided with all the required design materials which should be checked by them upon receipt.

Some guidelines:

• Candidates will be permitted to bring some items as instructed in the admit card
• They must make optimum usage of the same. Additional materials will not be provided.
• Colour pencils and marker pens are not allowed.
• An Answer Sheet will be provided separately for any writing purposes which has to be signed by the candidates in the exam hall.
• After completion of the test, the model, answer sheet and any left over materials must be left by the candidates on the table.

Evaluation Criteria for the NIFT Situation Test 2024 are as follows:

• Originality of the concept applied.
• Creative use of material and the skills for the same.
• Neatness of the final model.
• The write-up describing the model and concepts used.

NIFT Entrance Exam M.F.Tech Exam Pattern

NIFT M.FTech exam pattern gives candidates all the information about the type of questions, duration of exam, language, sections asked and more. This will aid candidates in better preparation for the exam and planning of the exam day.

Note: Candidates who qualified for the NIFT entrance exam can participate in the personal interview. The authorities will conduct the Personal interview from April 1 to April 2, in offline mode. Students can download the personal interview call letter by ending the application number and DOB on the NTA official website.

The NIFT admit card for situation test was issued on April 9. Candidates could download the admit card by using the application number and date of birth. While downloading the NIFT admit card it's important for candidates must check the barcode is printed on the admit card.

The admit card for NIFT 2024 written exam was issued on February 2. Candidates could download NIFT 2024 exam admit card on the official website. Candidates must note that the hard copy of the NIFT exam 2024 admit card was not sent to the student's address/ email.

Aspirants had to carry the NIFT entrance exam admit card to the test centre, along with a valid ID proof. No candidate was allowed to enter the examination hall without the NIFT exam admit card documents mentioned above.

What are the steps to download the NIFT exam admit card?

• Step 1 - Candidates had to visit the official site (nift.ac.in)
• Step 2 - Click on the ‘NIFT 2024 admit card’ to download the hall ticket.
• Step 3 - Enter any two of the following credentials - registered email ID, Date of Birth, and six-digit application number of NIFT 2024.
• Step 4 - Next, click on the ‘Submit’ button.
• Step 5 - NIFT exam 2024 admit card appeared on the screen
• Step 6 - Click on the ‘Download’ button
• Step 7 - Take a printout of the NIFT exam admit card and keep it for future reference

For the NIFT studio test/ personal interview for Artisan and Children of Artisan, the admit card will be sent to the registered mail id.
