This year's NID DAT 2025 Part A section focused primarily on non-verbal reasoning questions. Verbal reasoning and quantitative aptitude sections were not present in the examination this year. The section had various question types, like logo identification, environmental topics like the Green Revolution and climate change, and comparison-based questions.
Students generally found this section straightforward and manageable.
The General Knowledge segment included 4-5 questions related to logos and government schemes. Additionally, practicing puzzles, dice problems, and non-verbal reasoning tasks played a key role in performing well in this section. This section was easy and didn't take up a lot of the candidate's time.
Part- B of NID DAT Prelims consists of drawing-based questions. Here students can find expert analysis by Careers360 of Part-B of NID DAT Prelims 2025 according to the memory-based questions. Students can understand the pattern and lengthiness of the questions for future preparation. NID DAT 2025 Part B included design and creative ability questions. With 1 MCQ and 1 descriptive design question the creative section dominated the paper and took the most time. This section was lengthy and time consuming.
Students were advised to read the questions multiple times to avoid making simple errors. This section presented significant challenges, as the drawing prompts were often unusual and general, requiring candidates to think outside the box to create distinctive responses. Poster design tasks, in particular, pushed candidates to visualize and communicate abstract ideas innovatively.
This section was rated difficult by students considering the elaborate nature of the questions structured in a way to assess the candidates time management and creative thinking abilities.
Practicing with previous year NID DAT question papers helped many candidates ace the drawing section. Students emphasized the importance of refining freehand drawing and improving creative conceptualization to tackle this section effectively.
The NID DAT Prelims 2025 was a challenging yet fair assessment. Candidates for future exams should focus on enhancing their creative abilities, practice time management, and stay updated with current affairs related to design and government initiatives.

No, IPU (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University) does not accept NID DAT Prelims score for admission to the B.Des (Bachelor of Design) program.
Instead, IPU conducts its own entrance test or may consider CUET (UG) scores for B.Des admissions, depending on the latest admission guidelines. Always refer to the university's official prospectus for the year you're applying to for the final admission criteria.
