The National Institute of Design (NID) Design Aptitude Test 2025 has conducted the NID entrance exam 2025 Prelims today, January 5. As per majority of students who appeared for NID DAT 2025 exam, the paper was lengthy. Moreover the NID entrance exam difficulty level was moderate. Part-A was easy and Part-B was moderate and lengthy. NID total marks 2025 was 100.
The NID DAT paper 2025 included questions that assess the creative, problem solving, innovative thinking and visual perceptions of the students. Some candidates find the exam timings difficult as they have to make themselves manage to think and answer the questions. Overall, the difficulty level of the NID entrance exam was moderate and lengthy.
Time management was difficult for Part-B.
This year, there was a change in the NID aptitude paper. 3 questions were asked from the logo.
Verbal reasoning and quantitative aptitude missing.
The Aptitude section was of 25 marks.
The drawing part was of 75 marks.

Now the candidates have to await their results, where they feel much more anxiety. Many students felt tense and started calculating the marks for the questions they answered. Aspirants have also started estimating the marks of the prelims exam using the NID DAT predictor. The NID DAT result 2025 for BDes prelims will be released on April 1 and the MDes prelims on February 17, 2025.

As 563 rank in nid dat exam cannot guarantee admission in designing college but it could be a good chance to explore some campus as if you are not from general category as category role plays an important role . But now you can do one thing focus on your strengthening your protofile or preparing for the studio test (bdes) or interview (mdes).

No, IPU (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University) does not accept NID DAT Prelims score for admission to the B.Des (Bachelor of Design) program.
Instead, IPU conducts its own entrance test or may consider CUET (UG) scores for B.Des admissions, depending on the latest admission guidelines. Always refer to the university's official prospectus for the year you're applying to for the final admission criteria.
