The National Institute of Design will conduct the NID DAT Prelims in January 5, 2025. The authorities will release the guidelines related to the NID DAT dress code 2025 through the instructions in admit card. However, as per previous year NID exam day guidelines, there is no specific dress code to appear for the NID entrance exam. Though NID does not have a specified DAT dress code as per previous years, candidates must know what is acceptable and what is prohibited to the exam hall. NID DAT Exam Dress Code 2025

The NID dress code has not been prescribed by the institution, but it is usually followed to maintain the decorum of the exam. The candidates are advised to wear comfortable clothing which suits the weather for the NID 2025 exam. The candidates must ensure that there are no heavy buttons or layering in the clothing which can possibly hide any prohibited items. The clothing is advised to be devoid of logos so that the students can appear the exam distraction-free.

NID Dress Code 2025: What to Wear

  • The exam will be conducted on January 5, which has cold weather almost across India. The candidates should wear clothes appropriate to the weather.

  • The candidates can choose to wear traditional or casual Western attire as there are no restrictions on that.

  • Aspirants must ensure that the dress doesn’t carry any distracting items or logos that will be inappropriate for the formal setting of the exam.

  • The candidates must not wear heavy earrings, watches, belts, goggles, etc. which can possibly be a threat to the exam’s fairness.

  • The footwear of the candidates should be preferably open and comfortable. The candidates can opt for loafers or sandals. They must avoid shoes with thick soles.

  • In case the students have any religious attire, they must allow the officials a thorough checking.

NID Dress Code for Females

There is no official NID dress code for female students. However, the female students must ensure that the clothing is appropriate for a formal situation and avoid unnecessary accessories. They must not carry any heavy jewellery such as earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces, hair accessories. NID dress code for females suggests wearing jewellery which causes loud noise and can be distracting to other candidates must be avoided. They must avoid thick-soled shoes such as heels and platform shoes.

NID Dress Code for Males
