National Institute of Design will declare the NID DAT result 2025 prelims for BDes tentatively on April 1. Candidates need to visit admissions.nid.edu to see the NID results 2025. Aspirants who qualify the NID DAT prelims, will go ahead on the next stage, which is NID Mains. The NID DAT Mains exam date 2025 for BDes Mains is any day between April 4 . Once NID results 2025 for Mains is out, aspirants will have to next participate in the counselling and seat allotment process. What after NID DAT results 2025?

Based on the marks obtained in DAT Prelims, the authorities will release the NID DAT merit list. Students who will be listed in merit list, will go ahead on the next stage of mains. A separate NID admit card for mains will be issued by the authority for the successful candidates. After mains, the authority will release a final merit list. The successful candidates will be allotted preferred course and college according to the rank secured. The number of seats will be equivalent to the number of seats available.

The expected NID cut off based on previous year records is 50 for General or EWS, 45 for OBC, 40 for SC/ST/PwD. The candidates who qualify prelims will have to appear for Mains. The NID Mains exam comprises studio test (40%) and Interview (30%). This section assesses the candidate’s presence of mind in certain situations. It tests candidate’s skill and knowledge.

NID DAT Counselling and Seat Allotment 2025

Aspirants who will qualify both prelims and mains will have to next participate in the NID counselling process. During the NID DAT counselling registration, candidates will have to submit their preferred course and institute. NID Seat allotment for final admissions will be based on merit list, category of the candidates, and availability of seats. Moreover, all seat allotment candidates will have to confirm their seat by making a payment of nonrefundable token fee and uploading of documents before the deadline. Aspirants failing to upload documents before the last date even after making a payment of NID fees, the allotted seat will be cancelled.
