AIFD WATAIFD WAT 2018- Army Institute of Fashion and Design (AIFD), under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), has announed the result of Written Admission Test (WAT) 2018 on May 9. The entrance exam was held on April 28 for providing admissions to 3-year Fashion & Apparel Design (B.Sc. - FAD). Affiliated to Bangalore University, as many as 60 seats will be allotted to qualified candidates, who are eligible as well. As much as 10% of the total seats will be offered to Karnataka civilians. All the candidates belonging to the family of serving Army personnel are eligible to apply. Admissions will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the entrance test. AIFD WAT Result 2018


AIFD WAT 2018 result has been declared on May 9 in online mode. AIFD Bangalore displayed the result on notice board as well. Those, who have cleared the entrance exam, are also informed individually. These candidates will have to pay course registration fee of Rs.10,000 and Rs.5000 for hostel via a crossed demand draft.


After receipt of registration fee from interested qualified candidates, the final list of admissions will be declared in online mode on May 24, 2018. AIFD WAT 2018 merit list will be prepared based on candidates’ performance in the entrance test.


AIFD WAT Counselling 2018


Certificate verification before allotment of seats will be during AIFD WAT 2018 counselling. At the time of admission and reporting to the Institute, qualified candidates will be required to submit the below mentioned documents:

  • Matriculation marks card

  • Both 11th and 12th class marks card (having studied same combination for two years)

AIFD WAT Eligibility Criteria 2018


Aspirants can check below detailed AIFD WAT 2018 eligibility criteria:

  • Students must have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board recognized by UGC/University with at least 35% marks (any stream).

  • Candidates passing through distance education system or privately through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), must have the same combination of subjects in both 11th and 12th standard.

AIFD WAT Application Form 2018


Application form of AIFD WAT 2018 was available from first week of February onwards. The deadline for receipt of applications was March 25 without late fee. The cost of prospectus is Rs.500. Aspirants can download AIFD WAT 2018 application form and submit it after filling along with demand draft. 

Following documents have to be enclosed with AIFD WAT 2018 application form-

(a) Age proof as per standard X/XII or equivalent examination mark sheet/TC

(b) Statement of marks of qualifying examination with aggregate marks

(c) Statement of marks of higher degrees/examinations

AIFD WAT Admit Card 2018


Admit card of AIFD WAT 2018 was sent to the candidates via registered post on March 31 mentioning the allotted exam centre. In case, someone has not received the AIFD WAT 2018 application form until April 10, then he/she should approach principal of Army Institute of Fashion and Design stating the full name, address and application form number in order to facilitate dispatch of duplicate hall ticket. Candidates will have to affix stamps of Rs.40 for the purpose.

AIFD WAT Exam Centres 2018


AIFD WAT 2018 was conducted by Army Institute of Fashion and Design (AIFD) on April 28 across following six cities-

Applicants had to fill their choices of AIFD WAT 2018 exam centres as per their convenience. The institute tried to allot the centre as per their first or second choice. The allocated exam centre of AIFD WAT 2018 was final, and was not changed under any circumstances.
