The NIFT 2026 situation test was conducted on April 26, 2026. The NIFT situation test is the second stage of NIFT 2026 for the BDes programme. Candidates have to appear for all components of the NIFT entrance exam and qualify to be considered for admission. Are there any passing marks in the NIFT 2026 situation test? No. Candidates can generally challenge the provisional answer key if they find any incorrect answers. The scanned OMR sheet is released for candidates to verify the responses marked during the examination and usually cannot be challenged.

It must be noted that the situation test is conducted only for the BDes programme. The NIFT PG programmes have an interview as their second stage. There is no second stage for NIFT BFTech.
The authorities have not mentioned any passing marks for the NIFT situation test. However, the NIFT situation test carries 20% weightage in the calculation of the NIFT BDes 2026 final result. Therefore, it is mandatory to appear for the test. Candidates who appeared for the situation test were required to prepare a model from the given set of materials and also submit a write-up in English explaining their model.
The NIFT final result for BDes will be calculated by adding the candidate’s score in GAT, CAT and the situation test and assigning the respective weight to it as per the applicable programme.
