NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2021 -
National Institute of Fashion Technology stipulates the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2021 which include all the norms that candidates have to fulfill. Aspiring students must ensure that they have met the NIFT 2021 eligibility criteria before applying for admission in any campuses of NIFT. NIFT eligibility criteria 2021 specifies the education qualifications, age limit and other important features which students will have to meet to be applicable to appear in the entrance test of NIFT. Students must note that if any candidates fail to meet the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2021, then their candidature will be cancelled. Eligible candidates can fill the application form most likely by the fourth week of October 2020 in online mode.

Candidates will acquaint the details of the required qualifying exam and age limit to appear in the entrance test by going through the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2021. Students are mandatory to know the NIFT eligibility criteria 2021 before filling the application form.

Fashion Design/ Leather Design/Accessory Design/Textile Design/Knitwear Design/Fashion Communication) - NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2021
1. Aspiring students must have completed 10+2 board exam from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education/State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi or,
2. Any Board/Public School/University Examination conducted in India or abroad which is equivalent to 10+2 system and it is accorded by the Association of Indian Universities or,
3. If candidates complete the General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Sri Lanka/ Cambridge/) at the Advanced (A) level/International Baccalaureate (IB) then, they are eligible to apply or,
4. Students will also be eligible if they have pass the 10+2 Examination conducted by the National Open School with at least five subjects or,
5. Diploma of 3 or 4 years which is recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education.
Candidates must be of 23 years of age as on October 1, 2020. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person With Disability (PHP) get a relaxation of 5 years.
1. Students must pass the Class 12 exam in the 10+2 pattern of examination with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject from any recognized Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi or,
2. Any Public School/Board/University Exam in India or in foreign countries which is equivalent to a 10+2 system with Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subject. It must be recognized by the Association of Indian Universities or,
3. General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination(London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/International Baccalaureate (IB) or,
4. Diploma of 3 or 4 years in any programme of engineering which is recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education or,
5. A pass grade in the Higher Secondary Education Examination held by the National Open School with at least five subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Aspiring students must be 23 years by October 1, 2020. However Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person With Disability (PHP) will get an exemption of 5 years.

Students appearing the final exam of the qualifying exam can also apply for NIFT 2021.
If Class 12/ final year / final semester exam result is not yet announced till the date of NIFT counselling procedure 2020, then students will be strictly provisional subject to the following conditions.
Students will have to submit the final result of the qualifying exam before September 30, 2021.
Candidates have to submit duly signed an affidavit of Rs.10 on a non-judicial stamp paper. Candidate’s parent/guardian must sign the affidavit if he/she is less than 18 years of age.
Candidates seeking provisional admission as the final result of their qualifying exam is awaited for declaration, then students have to submit proof that they have passed all the papers of the previous years/ semesters of qualifying exam.
Students who are appearing for compartment examination(s) of 10+2 standard will be considered only for provisional admission. But, they are required to pass the compartment exam from the same board. If candidates fail to complete, then candidature will be automatically cancelled from the provisional admission and forfeiture of the entire fee.
Candidates who have fulfilled the stipulated eligibility criteria of NIFT 2021 can fill the registration form.

To get admission in any of the Design programmes aspiring students must be 23 years by October 1, 2020. However Scheduled Castes (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person With Disability (PHP) will get an exemption of 5 years.

If candidates complete the public school exam or board exam or University level exam from the foreign country accorded by AIU, then they are eligible to apply for NIFT.
Candidates who have pass 10+2 exam in any stream from a recognised board can apply for NIFT 2021.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducts an entrance exam every year to select candidates for the designing courses offered by the institute. It is a National Level Entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for NIFT admissions varies from course to course. Candidates need to meet NIFT eligibility criteria 2020 in order to appear for NIFT entrance exam. For undergraduate courses the minimum eligibility is class 12 pass. But for post graduate courses you need to complete your graduation. This year the exam was conducted on 19th January. The application process was going on from 23 October 2019 to 4 January 2020. The admit card was available on 10th January. The result was out by 13 March 2020.
NIFT entrance exam is a national level competitive test for design aspirants which is held in the month of January.
