The National Testing Agency opened the NIFT 2026 application form on December 8, 2025. The NIFT registration link is now active, and aspirants can fill up the NIFT application form 2026 from the official website - exams.nta.nic.in. NIFT Reduced Application Fee

NTA will conduct NIFT 2026 on February 8, 2026. Candidates can register online till January 6 without a late fee and till January 10 with a late fee of Rs 5000. Through the NIFT entrance exam, candidates will be able to secure admission into B.Des, B.FTech, M.Des, M.FTech, and MFM programmes.

NIFT 2026 Application Fee Reduced

The application fee for NIFT 2026 has been reduced by up to Rs 1500 compared to last year. The extent of reduction in the NIFT registration fee 2026 varies across categories and also depends on whether the candidate applies for one or more programmes. The details are given below.

The figures below only provide the NIFT 2026 regular application fee. Aspirants will be required to pay a late fee of Rs 5000 in addition to the regular fees if they register beyond the stipulated registration deadline without late fee.

How to Pay the NIFT 2026 Registration Fee?

The NIFT 2026 application fee has to be paid online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or net banking. Interested applicants have to first register and generate login credentials, and fill out the registration fee before proceeding to pay the NIFT application fee.

Hello,

Yes, a diploma holder in Computer Engineering can apply for the NIFT entrance exam , but only through the lateral entry route.

NIFT allows candidates with a 3-year or 4-year engineering diploma from a recognized board to apply for B.F.Tech (Fashion Technology) through lateral entry. The diploma must be approved by AICTE or the State Technical Board.

The age limit is usually 24 years for the general category.

So yes, you are eligible, as Computer Engineering is an engineering diploma.
