Careers360: Tell us about your domain and your work profile. At the professional level, did you pursue the same field you were interested or you switched?
Iyer Shreelaskmi: I got placed through campus placement as a Stylist in PN Rao.
Careers360: Can you briefly tell us about your career path so far?
Iyer Shreelaskmi: I started as a Stylist and then started working in operations (Catalog quality associate) post-COVID.
Careers360: Is the Industry work different from what you learned at IIFT, Bangalore College?
Iyer Shreelaskmi: Due to the switch it’s different.
Careers360: How do you think your time in college has added value to your life, both professional and personal?
Iyer Shreelaskmi: I have always been active and was encouraged to plan for small events in college and participate in various activities which has boosted my self-confidence.
Careers360: What was your initial thought process when you joined IIFT, Bangalore College?
Iyer Shreelaskmi: I would gain all the information about the field and get a good job through campus selection.
Careers360: You must have had a memorable time at your IIFT, Bangalore College. Do you miss being a part of it? Share a few good memories.
Iyer Shreelaskmi: I would say it’s the time I have spent with my friends who are my family now and of course the Paris trip which is engraved into my memory.
Careers360: Briefly takes us through your life at the campus, the activities you used to do and your routine life.
Iyer Shreelaskmi: I was engaged in college activities, I was appointed as the class representative and was responsible for various things. We had several fun yet educational trips and projects to do at college.
Careers360: Apart from academics, what were the other activities you were involved in and how did it enrich your life?
Iyer Shreelaskmi: I have anchored several times for college events and participated in extracurricular activities.
Careers360: You are a proud alumnus of this top College. What is the best part of IIFT, Bangalore Institute from a student's perspective?
Iyer Shreelaskmi: The number of fun activities, amazing staff members and my friends.

A Merchandiser is a professional who is responsible for optimising the sales of the store or business. He or she ensures that the retail and online stores are stocked up and analyses the sales data to improve and promote sales strategies.
