In conversation with Careers360, Manash, a BDes Animation & VFX Design student, shares his student life journey at the School of Design, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS). Careers360: Tell us something about yourself. (a bit of the background, like graduation, place and any such thing)
Manash: My name is Manash Tripathi. I have done my schooling from D.A.V PUBLIC SCHOOL, SECTOR 37, FBD. I am currently pursuing my career at the School of Design in MRIIRS.
Careers360: Tell us something about your College/University and what made you choose it
Manash: MANAV RACHNA already has a great reputation. Also, it offers courses like B.design, which felt very immersive to me as a VFX and Animation interested kid.
Careers360: What is the course you are pursuing at your College/university, and what made you choose this specialisation?
Manash: I am currently pursuing B.Design in VFX and Animation. I took this course because, since I was a teenager who was interested in video editing, this felt like a given.
Careers360: Is an internship mandatory at your University? If yes, where did you pursue it, and what was the duration? What were the steps to get into it?
Manash: Yes, I pursued my internship at KEDMAN. My role was to create videos for educational purposes. The internship lasted 4 months. I gave the interview in college with the help of my faculty members.
Careers360: Please give details on the assistance you received from the faculty, peers and placement office with regard to the internships?
Manash: First and foremost, they informed me about the opportunity, they helped me to make my resume ready and kept me motivated to claim this chance.
Careers360: How was your experience with the internship? What are the key takeaways that you can look back on from it?
Manash: The internship was totally a new experience for me. I learnt a lot of things like patience, improvising my creativity, and with the help of KEDMAN mentors, I was able to enjoy this opportunity.
