Part B of the UCEED 2026 question paper will not be evaluated for candidates who do not have the minimum qualifying score in UCEED 2026 Part A for the respective category. For OBC-NCL category, the qualifying score in Part A is 90% of that for the general category, and for SC/ST the qualifying score in UCEED 2026 Part A is 50% of that for the general category.

The IIT B.Des admissions 2026 will be done based on the candidate’s rank determined through the candidate’s score in both Part A and Part B of the UCEED entrance exam.
While a general category candidate may find it difficult to secure admission into IIT B.Des, candidates from the SC/ST category have a good chance of obtaining admission.

In UCEED counselling for DTU, Round 1 allocates seats based on rank and preferences. Later rounds re-allot vacant seats, letting candidates float for better options or freeze current seats. Spots rounds fill remaining seats. Rounds differ in seat availability and chances to improve allotment.
