What After NIFT Exam: Final Result Date, Counselling & Seat Allocation

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon declare the NIFT final result 2025 at exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/. Candidates can download the NIFT result 2025 using application number and date of birth. The NIFT situation test 2025 for B.Des was conducted on June 8. The NIFT personal interview for PG was conducted from May 26 to 31 and June 2, 3, 2025.

What Happens After NIFT Exam

The NTA authorities declared the NIFT result 2025 on April 24, and the candidates must be anxious about “What after the NIFT exam?”. The aspirants are selected based on the rank scored in the NIFT 2025. The candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks to get into the NIFT admission process 2025.

This year the NIFT results were delayed as compared to the previous year.. After the NIFT entrance exam, the authorities declared the duration of answer key challenge for the GAT examination was from February 15 to 17, 2025 up to 11:00 PM at exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/. The NTA authorities also declared the procedure to challenge for the answer key.

What is the Next Round After NIFT Entrance Exam

The next round after the declaration of NIFT 2025 results, was the situation test for undergraduate aspirants and personal interview for postgraduate aspirants. The NIFT situation test 2025 is also called the studio test. The candidates who were shortlisted in the NIFT exam, appeared for the next step which is a Situation Test (ST) for UG design programmes and Personal Interview (PI) for PG programmes.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts two stages for admission into NIFT campuses 2025. The first stage is the NIFT entrance exam for both UG and PG programmes and the second stage is a situation test or a studio test for UG and a personal interview for PG candidates.

NIFT Situation Test 2025

Shortlisted candidates for B.Des after the NIFT entrance examination were required to take a NIFT Situation Test 2025 which is a hands-on test to evaluate the candidate’s skills for material handling and innovative ability on a given situation with a given set of materials. No additional material were provided to the candidate.

The candidate were asked to make a model. The model was evaluated on the following: space visualization, innovative and creative use of given material, composition of elements, colour scheme, construction skill, finesse of the model and overall presentation, etc. These factors was checked along with the write up explaining the concept behind the model constructed. Since the medium of instruction in NIFT is English, the write-up was in English. No marks were given for write-up if written in any other language.

The use of outside or additional materials in making the model was not allowed. Also, candidates who tried to disclose their identity by writing any personal details or place any identification mark on the model were disqualified and the final result of these candidates shall not be declared. The evaluation of the test was done by the Jury on the spot. The model was not preserved for future reference.

NIFT Personal Interview 2025

For the PG candidates, after the NIFT exam, shortlisted candidates appeared for the personal interview (PI) round. Candidates were evaluated on the various factors as listed below by a panel, in the Personal Interview:

• Career orientation

• Aptness for the course

• Overall personal achievements in academics and co-curricular activities

• Communication

• General awareness, aptitude, creative and lateral thinking.

NIFT reserves the right to modify the entrance examination scheme, including non-conduct of any stage due to unforeseen circumstances.

What After the NIFT Selection Rounds 2025

After the situation test/ personal interview rounds, the authorities will soon declare the final results. According to the NIFT official notification, the declaration of the final result will be made in the last week of June, 2025 (Tentative). The final results will be declared online at exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/.

After the declaration of final results, the qualified candidates must appear for the counselling and seat allocation process. The NIFT seat allocation 2025 will take place for all the NIFT campuses 2025.

NIFT Counselling & Seat Allocation 2025

Candidates who qualify all the rounds of the admission process will be eligible for the NIFT counselling. The authorities will release the seat allocation process for the shortlisted candidates. Candidates must visit the official website at nift.ac.in for the NIFT seat allotment 2025. There will be multiple rounds of seat allocation which will be decided by the authorities.

Seat Allotment Process

• Registration of the candidates for seat allotment.

• Seats will be allocated in order of preference.

• Campus allocation will be done in order of merit.

According to the NIFT official notification, the seat allocation will be done between June/July 2025.
