As per the CEED 2025 Exam Pattern, CEED Entrance Exam is divided into 2 sections (Part A and Part B).

    NAT (Numerical Aptitude Test)

This Section consisted of 21.33% weightage of the overall question paper, where the difficulty level of the questions was moderate to easy. Some questions were direct and some questions (like question 02) needed some brainstorming. Most questions were more observation based and required the logical and theoretical understanding of the mathematical basics. However the questions could alternatively be attempted purely based on logic but could be time consuming, unless an individual develops its own subjective approach to the question.

    Difficulty Level

The difficulty level was Moderate to Easy

    Ideal Time

    20-25 minutes

    Good Attempt

    05-07 questions (No Negative Marking)

    Focus Areas

Mathematical Fundamentals + Observation based deduction from visual information

    MSQ (Multiple Select Questions)

This section was tricky part of the overall assessment in the CEED 2025 because of the negative marking (-1), but it holds a total of 27% weightage in approximate. The evaluation scheme for this section is very unique, offering marks ranging from 4 to (-1), making this section very important and challenging. And a “right approach for attempting could have been not selecting the right options, but eliminating the wrong options.”

The overall difficulty level of this section was easier and less moderate. Still, it could have been time-consuming for anyone unaware of General and Technical awareness of the Everyday things around us. This is a crucial skill for a designer to question things around him/her; thus, the section was entirely in accord with design field requirements.

    • Materials and Functionality

    • Data interpretation (DI)

    MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions)

Unlike every year in the past, the MCQ Section was a good composition of questions from different topics, holding approximately more than half of the weightage (52%). Most questions were doable, but some may need more time and Thus, identifying and attempting the easy questions in the first go was crucial.

Some questions might be time consuming and should be kept for later to attempt. Observing the previous year and this year pattern, it is recommended for the MCQ section, a strategic approach in preparation and crafting experiences of surroundings, asking the questions to everyday things is sufficient to outperform in CEED Exam overall.
