The Common Entrance Exam for Design, conducted by IIT Bombay provides an opportunity to candidates to seek admission at IITs for a Masters degree in design courses. Candidates need to meet the CEED MDes eligibility for the academic qualification prior to applying for the entrance exam. Candidates who meet the criteria as given below are eligible to appear for the CEED exam.
Candidates must have completed a graduate degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program of a minimum of THREE years (after 10+2 level) or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2026, or must have passed the GD Arts diploma program (10+5 level) by July 2026.
There is no age limit to appear for CEED 2026. Also, a candidate can appear for CEED any number of times as they wish. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can make for the CEED exam.
The eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes may differ from those for appearing for CEED. Before applying for CEED, candidates must check whether they meet the required eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes.
Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria could fill out the CEED application form. The CEED 2026 registration was open from October 1 to November 10, 2025. Interested candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria were allowed to complete the registration process by visiting the official website of CEED.

As per the CEED 2026 schedule, the registration started on October 1, 2025. The last date for online submission/registrations without late fee was October 31, 2025. The deadline to apply with a late fee was November 10, 2025.
There is no specified age limit for CEED 2026. However, the applicants are advised to check MDes age limit that is mentioned in the eligibility criteria laid down by the administration of the University.

A score of 50 or more in part A is generally considered a good score for CEED. However, this is just an estimate, and the actual score needed for a particular rank can vary based on that year's exam difficulty and overall candidate performance.
