The NID BDes mains is the second stage of the NID DAT 2026 and consists of the studio sensitivity test and the in-person sensitivity test. Candidates have to appear for all components of the NID entrance exam to be considered for admission.

The NID studio sensitivity test for BDes may require candidates to engage in multiple activities, which may include sketching objects, material handling, creating models with given materials, and questions through audiovisual aids. The NID BDes studio sensitivity carries 60% weightage in the final selection.
The studio sensitivity test will be conducted in offline mode at the specified exam centres
Candidates must report to the exam centre between 8:30 am and 9:15 am, after which entry will be closed
The studio sensitivity test carries 60% weightage, with the rest 40% being for the in-person sensitivity test.
Only marks in the NID mains will be considered for final selection
