    National Institute of Design (NID) conducts studio tests for both BDes and MDes programmes. The NID Studio Test 2025 date was announced at admissions.nid.edu. The NID studio test for MDes was conducted from March 1 to April 2 and for BDes the studio test was conducted on Saturday, May 3, 2025. The NID studio test for BDes candidates was conducted at the following campuses: NID Ahmedabad, NID Bengaluru, NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Madhya Pradesh, and NID Jorhat.

    What is Studio Test in NID 2025

    The candidates who appeared in NID DAT Prelims and are shortlisted had appeared for the DAT Mains. DAT Mains for MDes consisted of Studio Test & Interview and for BDes its was a studio set up. The Studio Test in NID entrance exam was conducted to test the candidate’s skills, creativity and understanding levels and sensitivity.

    The NID studio test 2025 is the final stage of the admission process into NID. NID Studio Test consisted of questions on specific topics such as drawing, sketching, making a model, group discussions and presentations.

    NID Studio Test for BDes and MDes

    The NID authorities announced the NID DAT Mains exam dates 2025 for both MDes and BDes at admissions.nid.edu. The National Institute of Design (NID) provides admission to its courses based on the stages of the NID entrance exam. Admissions to the programmes at NID is based on the candidate’s performance in the two stages of Design Aptitude Tests, namely DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

    Candidates shortlisted after the DAT Prelims had appeared for the stage 2 DAT Mains exam. The BDes candidates could download the admit card for the studio test on April 11, 2025 from 4 PM onwards. The admit card for BDes studio test was released at admissions.nid.edu. Candidates logged in using their email address and date of birth to download their BDes studio test admit card 2025.

    BDes Candidates downloaded and took a printout of the admit card for the Studio Test. The aspirants brought the hard copy of the admit card along with the original photo ID proofs. The exact timings of the studio test and address of the test centre was communicated in the admit card.

    NID Studio Test Dates for BDes and MDes

    The NID BDes Mains Studio Test was conducted on Saturday, May 3, 2025. The shortlisted candidates for DAT Mains had a choice to select a test centre of their preference from April 3 - 6, 2025 until 4 PM at the official website. The NID MDes studio test and interview was conducted from March 1 to April 4, 2025.
