Candidates need to know the process involved in editing or updating the NIFT Application form. The process involved has been specified below.

NIFT Application Form Correction Process

Step 1: Go to the official NIFT 2026 website at nift.ac.in.

Step 2: Sign in using the login credentials created during registration. If you do not remember your password, use the “Forgot Password” option to generate a new one. Details like your name, email ID, mobile number, and other key personal information cannot be edited later. Make sure these entries are accurate when filling the form initially.

Step 3: After logging in with your registered email ID and password, access your previously submitted NIFT 2026 application form. Review every section thoroughly. If you notice any incorrect entries, especially in information like addresses or uploaded documents, it is important to make the necessary corrections. These are usually where most errors are found.

Step 4: Once all edits have been made, save the updated form. Resubmit it after confirming that all information is accurate. As per past procedure, NIFT has not charged an additional fee for making corrections in the application form.

Details that can be edited in NIFT 2026 Registration

Applicants should note that only specific sections of the application, mainly personal and academic information, are open for correction. This includes details like parents’ names, residential address, and educational records. However, changes to the candidate’s own name, selected exam centres, or registered email ID are not permitted.

What follows after the NIFT Edit Window 2026?

After the NIFT 2025 form correction window closes, the next step in the NIFT admission process is downloading the city intimation slip, which will be followed by the NIFT Admit Card 2026. NTA is expected to release this slip in the third or last week of January 2026. It’s important to understand that the NIFT city intimation slip is not the same as the admit card.

The intimation slip only specifies the city where your exam centre will be located. The exact exam centre details will be provided later in the NIFT 2026 admit card, which is likely to be issued in the last week of January or the first week of February.

Hope this answer helps! Thank You!!!

Hello,

According to the sources, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam for 2026 will be held in February 2026. Also, the registration period may open from November 2025.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Hello,
It’s completely understandable to feel disheartened after not getting a seat in the first and second rounds, especially when you’ve filled all the colleges and have your hopes set on a particular course like Fashion Communication . With an OBC rank of 1910 and CMR 7192, your chances can improve in the upcoming counselling rounds as more students withdraw or shift to other colleges.
So make sure to check the further rounds of counselling and don’t lose hope. Many students get seats in the 3rd, 4th, and mop-up rounds. You can also consider updating your preference list or keeping a wider range of courses and campuses open in case you're okay with related fields.
Keep checking the official NIFT website for updates on seat allotment and further counselling instructions.
Thank you
