Authorities will select the top 6400 students who clear the Part A cutoff for the Part B evaluation process. The Part A shortlist will be released on a category-wise basis, with the minimum qualifying score for OBC-NCL/EWS candidates set at 0.9 times and for SC/ST/PwD candidates at 0.5 times the minimum qualifying score for the OPEN category. As per UCEED 2027, candidates who do not meet the Part A cutoff will not have their Part B paper evaluated.
For the UCEED Part A cutoff, authorities will follow the below-given calculation method to finalise the qualifying marks. The formula is:

Check the below-given points to understand the Part A calculation formula:
μ (mu): Average marks secured by all the candidates who appeared for the Part A paper.
σ (sigma): Standard deviation of the marks scored by all candidates
δ (delta): The calculated measure used for determining the Part-A qualifying score.
In simpler words, the average Part A score is calculated in the first stage, and then twice the standard deviation is added to the average score to get the δ (delta) value. The values of μ, σ, and δ will be rounded off to two decimal places based on the candidate's category, as mentioned in the table below:
Category | Part A Cutoff Scores |
Open | ? |
OBC-NCL/EWS | 0.9? |
SC/ST/PwD | 0.5? |
If multiple candidates secure the same score or rank at the 6,400th cutoff, all of them will be accepted. This may push the total number of shortlisted candidates slightly above 6,400.
Authorities have released the UCEED Part B Cutoff on its official website. Part B cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks secured by candidates in different categories, which is considered for rankings. As per the UCEED 2027 exam pattern, the Part B paper is a total of 100 marks, which consists of 2 questions of 50 marks each. Candidates can check the category-wise cutoff for Part B as mentioned below:
Cateogry | Part B Cutoff Scores |
Open | 15 |
OBC-NCL/EWS | 13.5 |
SC/ST/PwD | 7.5 |
