The National Institute of Fashion Technology is one of the top design colleges in India, with its 20 campuses. To obtain NIFT admission into its campuses in India, there is a huge demand among the fashion industry. Every year, around 16000+ candidates register and appear for the NIFT entrance exam to get admitted into the design programme. NTA earlier conducted NIFT 2026 on February 8, 2026. What are Qualifying Marks For NIFT?

What are the qualifying marks for NIFT?

NTA or NIFT has not yet notified the qualifying marks in NIFT 2026. The qualifying marks are the scores that the students must get for NIFT admission. The NIFT exam will be conducted in stages based on the BDes and MDes programme. Candidates will be shortlisted from the entrance exam for the next stage of admission in the ratio of 1:4, which means four candidates for every seat. However, candidates are required to clear the NIFT cutoff to secure final admission.

Understanding of the qualifying marks for NIFT exam

Aspirants need to know that the NIFT exam is conducted in two stages. The stages will be different for UG and PG programmes, which are provided in the table below. GAT is the General Ability Test, and CAT is the Creative Ability Test.
