Is calculator allowed in NIFT exam is one of the common queries amongst students. As per NIFT exam day instructions released at exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/, aspirants are not allowed to use the calculator during the entrance exam. NTA has released the list of items that are prohibited inside the NIFT exam centre 2025 through brochure. Aspirants will be provided with rough sheets for calculations. The NIFT entrance exam will be conducted on February 09, 2025.
Candidates must note that the usage of calculators is not allowed during the NIFT 2025 examination. In both, GAT and CAT examinations calculators are not permitted. The GAT exam will be conducted in online mode, whereas the CAT exam will be conducted in offline mode. During the CAT exam, candidates will be provided with a rough sheet at the centre in the examination hall or room, where they can do all the calculations or writing work. After completion of the examination, candidates must hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator that is on duty in the examination hall.

NOTE - The candidates appearing for CAT exam (second shift) will be allowed to carry their colouring and drawing material in a transparent pencil box. For the CAT exam, a question booklet with space for candidate’s response will be provided at the examination centre.
