Most of the students wonder whether they can use a calculator in the NIFT entrance exam. In some exams, authorities allow the use of calculators during the examination time as it is most useful gadget to solve complicated problems and reduce time. But, does the National Testing Agency allow the use of calculators for the NIFT 2027 exam? All the candidates appearing for the NIFT entrance exam should carefully read the exam instructions before the exam day. The exam instructions will be released on the official NTA website - exams.nta.nic.in/NIFT. Candidates cannot use calculators in the NIFT entrance exam. This rule applies to both the NIFT GAT and NIFT CAT exams. NIFT conducts the GAT exam online and the CAT exam offline. During the exam, officials give candidates a rough sheet for calculations or other writing work. After the exam, candidates must return the rough sheet to the invigilator in the examination hall.
Candidates can check the list of items that they cannot carry to the exam hall. The below list is based on previous year data, candidates can refer to the official website for any updated information.
NOTE - The candidates appearing for the CAT exam (second shift) will be allowed to carry their colouring and drawing material in a transparent pencil box. For the CAT exam, a question booklet with space for the candidate’s response will be provided at the examination centre.
