NIFT Entrance Exam Guidelines 2026

The National Testing Agency has released the NIFT 2026 exam day instructions through the information bulletin. NIFT 2026 exam day guidelines will also be notified through the NIFT admit card 2026. Students need to carry an admit card, self-declaration form, and valid ID proof at the exam centre. Moreover, candidates should reach the NIFT entrance exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the paper. There is no dress code for NIFT entrance exam. Moreover, aspirants will not be allowed to carry calculators or any textual material inside the exam centre.

NIFT Entrance Exam Day Instructions

• Candidates must reach the test centres on or before the reporting time. Entry of the candidates inside the exam centre shall be stopped 30 minutes before the start of the NIFT entrance exam.
• NTA will not be responsible for any delay in the candidate's arrival at the NIFT exam centre for any reason.
• To ensure that there are no unauthorized candidates appearing for the test, there shall be an identity check upon arrival at the exam centre.
• The candidate must sign and paste the photograph on the attendance sheet at the appropriate place.
• Aspirants should check all things to carry at the NIFT exam beforehand to avoid any problems on the exam day.
• Aspirants will be allowed to do any rough work only on the rough sheet provided at the center of the examination room/hall.
• Any candidate found using unfair means will be disqualified from the NIFT admission process.

Things to Carry at NIFT Entrance Examination Centre

• Admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website
• (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in
• A simple transparent ballpoint pen/pencil/eraser/ruler (in a transparent pouch).
• Candidates appearing for CAT also need to carry their coloring & drawing material. A physical NIFT CAT question paper booklet with space for responses will be provided at the centre.
• An additional photograph (the same as the one uploaded on the NIFT application form) to be pasted on the attendance sheet in the examination room/hall.
• Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid, and non-expired) – College Identity Card with photograph/PAN card/driving license/voter ID/passport/Aadhaar Card
• (With photograph)/E-Aadhaar with photograph/Ration Card with photograph/Bank Passbook with Photograph.
• PwBD certificate and UDID issued by the authorized medical officer, if claiming the relaxation under PwBD category
• Personal transparent water bottle
• Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic

NIFT Situation Test Timings 2026

Candidates who qualified in the CAT and GAT exams will be eligible to appear for the situation test. The authorities will release detailed NIFT situation test guidelines through the admit card.

NIFT Situation Test 2026: Exam day instructions

Candidates can check the detailed NIFT situation test exam day instructions through the admit card. Some of the important instructions are given below.

• The use of outside/additional material in making the model/design is not permitted.
• Aspirants should not carry any electronic gadgets at the NIFT situation test centre.
• No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam centre before the prescribed time
• Candidates who try to disclose their identity by writing any personal details or placing any identification
• Mark on the model/design/write-up shall be ‘DISQUALIFIED,’ and the final result of these candidates shall not be declared.

NIFT Dress Code 2026

The National Testing Agency (NTA) does not prescribe a specific dress code for NIFT entrance exam. However, aspirants are advised to take care of the following:

• Prefer wearing lightweight clothes to avoid any issues during the exam.
• Avoid carrying any metallic stuff
• Do not wear goggles, rings, bracelets, jewellery, or any such items.
