The UCEED minimum marks vary for different categories and sections of the UCEED exam. To secure your name in the UCEED marit list and get admission to the B.Des programme at IITs and IITDM, candidates need to score a minimum specified cutoff in the UCEED 2026 exam. The UCEED exam consists of two parts: Part A and Part B. UCEED Part A is a computer-based test with having multiple-choice (MCQs) questions and Part B is a pen-paper based with drawing questions. The total marks for UCEED exam are 300, out of which 200 are for Part A and 100 for Part B. The UCEED cutoff is different for categories and sections of the exam.

The UCEED tie-breaking criteria is the set of rules that are applied to resolve the situation when two or more candidates have secured the same total marks in UCEED 2026 exam. In case of a tie in the total UCEED marks, the following tie-breaking policy will be used for awarding ranks.
Higher UCEED rank will be assigned to the candidates who have secured more marks in Part-B.
If this does not break then the higher rank will be assigned to candidates who has obtained higher marks in Section 2 of Part-A.
If ties still persist, the higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 1 of Part-A.
If the tier is not resolved by the above criteria, then the candidates will be assigned the same rank.
