The spot round of NIFT 2025 counselling is currently underway. National Institute of Fashion Technology conducts the NIFT spot round counselling after the centralised NIFT counselling rounds are over. Similar to other rounds of NIFT seat allotment, the candidates will be able to secure a seat based on their score in the NIFT entrance exam and their campus preferences. The NIFT 2025 spot round is the process to conduct NIFT admissions into the vacant seats of participating NIFT campuses after the centralised counselling rounds have ended. Candidates must strictly adhere to the rules and guidelines issued by the authorities for the spot round of NIFT counselling.
As per the existing rules, the following candidates can register for the NIFT spot round counselling.
All the eligible candidates having a Common Merit Rank (CMR)
The candidates who obtained seat allotment paid the fee in the previous rounds
The candidates who did not get a seat allotment in the previous rounds of counselling
Candidates who obtained seat allotment in previous rounds but did not pay the fees.
Candidates who have withdrawn from the allotted seat in previous rounds of counselling
Candidates with valid Common Merit Rank (CMR) who did not register for seat allotment and/or did not fill in preference/choice filling, and did not upload the required documents during the registration for Seat Allotment.
All the Eligible Candidates having a Common Merit Rank under NLEA (Lateral Entry Admission)
The following candidates are not allowed to register for the spot round of NIFT counselling process
Candidates who have been rejected during the process of document verification for not fulfilling the eligibility criteria or not having a valid Category Certificate.
Artisan Category
Pure NRI candidates are admitted based on SAT /GMAT/GRE scores
In this round, all the eligible candidates, including absentees of the main counselling, will also be eligible for Candidates who have completed their registration initially will not be required to register again.
In the NIFT spot round counselling, seat allocation will be done as per the rules and order of merit.
The seat allotment result will be published on the website. The candidate must log in and download the provisional allotment letter.
The authorities will also publish opening and closing cut-off ranks for the NIFT spot round counselling
All the candidates will have to report finally at the allotted Campus as per the schedule.
Spot round of NIFT counseling is the final round of seat allotment, and no request for withdrawal will be considered. In case any candidate withdraws the allotted seat, the entire Admission fees paid by the candidate during registration for the spot round will be forfeited, except the security Deposit.
