What is AIEED 2025 selection criteria?
It is important for the aspirants to understand the selection criteria so that they can prepare better for the upcoming challenges. The AIEED authorities have divided the exam into two stages followed by the third stage which is result declaration. The first two stages of the AIEED entrance exam will be the selection rounds. Stage 1:
The stage one of AIEED entrance exam will consist of the screening test for students. At the stage the students will be asked to submit their statement of purpose along with a portfolio of abilities. In the statement of purpose, the students must emphasise on the fact of why they are studying design. In the portfolio of abilities, the students will need to record their life story and highlight their aims for the future.
Along with these the students will also have to appear in the Psychological Endowments for Design which will test their empathy, creativity, openness, perseverance and focus. The students will have to show that sense of humour and appreciation of humour through this test. This test will be followed by some tasks under the Comprehension, Awareness, Thinking and Articulation. The tasks will assess the student's visual verbal conceptual interpersonal and transactional senses. Comprehension and communication skills are very important for a designer, and it will help the authorities to choose the responsible designers.
Stage 2:
The stage two of AIEED entrance exam will consist of an interaction round with the mentor where the students will be allowed to express their ideas. The students will not only have the opportunity to express their own ideas but also show their communication skills and creativity. The mentors will also get to know the students’ attitude towards design better.

NID DAT exam will be conducted in two phases i.e Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam. Both the exams are for 3 hours. There will be maximum of 100 marks in each phase of exam. It is a paper and pen based examination. There is no negative marking. The medium of exam is English.

Arch College of Design and Business conducts the All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED) to offer admissions to its undergraduate as well as postgraduate design programmes. The exam is held in three stages/ phases - Stage I (General Aptitude Test or GAT ), Stage II (Creative Aptitude Test or CAT) and Stage III (Personal Interaction) .
The screening test is conducted for admission to UG and PG design courses at participating colleges.Therefore it is not for a specific college .

Hello aspirant,
AIEESE Primary helps student to get admission in any of the 1000 govt approved college . While AIEESE Secondary only grants scholarship to students who qualify the examination and desires to study in IIT and NITs.
Both the mentioned exams are the Engineering Scholarship Entrance Exam.
The AIEESE Exams are scheduled to be on 15th, 16th and 17th June 2022.
The Engineering aspirants who qualify AIEESE (Primary) Scholarship Examination are eligible to get admission to more than tens of hundreds of engineering colleges in India on the basis of AIEESE (Primary) scorecard and through AIEESE Counselling.
