    NIFT offers around 5000+ seats in 2026, and a rank of 2500 places a candidate in the middle range. This rank may not be strong for open category candidates. However, candidates under the state quota and those from SC/ST categories can still secure a seat through the NIFT admission process. NTA conducted NIFT 2026 on February 8, 2026, and the NIFT final result is expected in June 2026, after which it will assign the CMR rank.     The NIFT seat allotment will be done based on the candidate’s rank and campus preferences, with NIFT cutoff ranks published for each round.

    Is 2500 Rank Good In NIFT 2026?

    A rank of 2500 is not a very high rank in the NIFT entrance exam when seen in comparison to the seat matrix. However, a 2500 rank is good for SC/ST candidates for admission into various NIFT campuses. Aspirants can also secure admission into the state domicile quota into top campuses with NIFT CMR 2500. An open category candidate can secure admission into tier 2 NIFT campuses with a 2500 rank.
