What is BITS Design?
BITS Design school is a new design school introduced specifically for the candidates to offer design programmes. Students aiming high to grow their career in design opt for BITS design admission. The BITS design school offers admission to the courses based on the scores of the BITS entrance exam. Candidates after their 12th can apply for the BITS Design admission. The scores of national level exams such as NID, UCEED scores also are accepted for BITS DAT 2026 admission.
Does BITS Accept A NID Score?
BITS design applications will be released online at bitsdesign.edu.in, the official website. Candidates planning to obtain admission into BITS design programmes need to appear for the BITS entrance exam meeting the eligibility criteria. Aspirants who are appearing the NID DAT entrance exam or the UCEED exam are also eligible for admission into BITS design school. Based on the scores of the NID DAT exam or the UCEED exam, admission is offered. Candidates are advised to check the NID DAT 2026 updates so that they can prepare for the NID DAT exam apart from the BITS design exam.
The National Institute of Design has already started its registration process on September 11, 2025. The NID DAT 2026, a national level exam, is conducted to offer admissions into BDes and MDes programmes. The NID DAT comprises two stages - Prelims and Mains. The BITS design application form will be tentatively released in October 2025. Candidates should have completed their Class 12 with 45% to be eligible. The BITS DAT will be held in March/April 2026. No, IPU (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University) does not accept NID DAT Prelims score for admission to the B.Des (Bachelor of Design) program.
