NID BDes Mains Result 2025
The NID authorities announced the result date and time in the official brochure at admissions.nid.edu. The DAT Mains result for BDes aspirants has been declared on May 16, 2025, at 4 PM. Depending on the marks obtained in the DAT Mains, the officials will release the NID final merit list 2025. Candidates must appear for both the Prelims and Mains NID DAT exam, to be eligible for the merit list. The qualified candidates will be allotted preferred courses and colleges based on the rank secured.
Steps to follow after NID Mains result 2025
The BDes candidates must follow the below steps after the declaration of the BDes DAT Mains result 2025.
- Visit the official website - admissions.nid.edu, download and take a printout of the result.
- Submit the NID campus preferences between May 16, 4 PM, and May 18, 2025, 4 PM.
- The NID authorities will declare the first round of NID seat allotment 2025 on May 27 at 4 PM.
- The shortlisted BDes candidates must pay the seat confirmation fee and upload the documents by May 30, 2025, up to 4 PM.
- Candidates must check their registered email ID for the updates regarding the seat allotment and any other important information.
Final selection criteria for NID BDes 2025
The final marks of the candidate enrolling for the BDes programme of the National Institute of Design (NID) will be calculated based on the weightages of the marks scored in the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

Note - Only the candidates who have appeared for all the tests in both NID DAT 2025 Prelims and Mains will be considered for the merit list.
The scores obtained during the application process in the 2025-26 cycle are valid only for admission to the academic year 2025-26.
NID Seat Allotment 2025
The BDes aspirants who qualify for both Prelims and Mains must participate in the NID counselling process 2025. The shortlisted candidates must submit the campus preference during the NID DAT counselling registration. NID seat allotment 2025 depends on factors such as the merit list, the reservation category of the candidate, and the seat availability.
The BDes shortlisted candidates must confirm their seat by making the payment (non-refundable) of the token fee and uploading the documents before the deadline.

No, IPU (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University) does not accept NID DAT Prelims score for admission to the B.Des (Bachelor of Design) program.
Instead, IPU conducts its own entrance test or may consider CUET (UG) scores for B.Des admissions, depending on the latest admission guidelines. Always refer to the university's official prospectus for the year you're applying to for the final admission criteria.
