Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT) issued the application form for CEPT entrance exam 2019 on June 18. CEPT 2019 entrance exam is conducted for undergraduate level programmes such as bachelor in interior design and bachelor of construction technology.The end date for registering for CEPT 2019 was July 3, 2019. CEPT admit card 2019 was available in online mode on July 6.  CEPT entrance exam was conducted in offline mode. CEPT result 2019 was announced by the authorities on July 11  for Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of construction technology while the result for Bachelor of Urban Design was declared on July 12. CEPT Entrance Exam 2019 Eligibility Criteria

CEPT 2019 eligibility criteria includes the minimum marks which the candidates have to score to be eligible to appear in the entrance exam for Bachelor of Interior Design programme. 

According to eligibility criteria of CEPT 2019, candidates have to also ensure that they have the requisite subjects in Class XII. CEPT eligibility criteria 2019 also mentions the boards from which the candidates must have passed to be able to appear in the entrance test. 

Marks to be scored in qualifying exam 

Candidates belonging to the general category have to score an aggregate of 50% in Class XII, while those who are from SC, ST, SEBC category, they would have to score at least 45% marks. 

Subjects in the qualifying exam 

Candidates should have the following subjects in their class XII to be eligible to appear in the entrance test: 

Mandatory subjects 

Candidates should pass their class XII exam from science stream and it is compulsory for them to have Maths and Physics. 

Optional Subjects 

Candidates should have any of the following as optional subjects. 

  • Biotechnology

  • Chemistry 

  • Computer 

  • Biology 

Boards from which students should have done their Class XII 

Candidates should have passed their class XII from any of the following boards: 

  • Gujarat Board 

  • CBSE

  • CISCE

  • NIOS

  • ISB

  • IB

All the candidates whose class XII result is awaited are also eligible to appear for the entrance test. Such candidates will have to present a certificate from the principal of the school in which it has to be mentioned that the student had appeared for the class XII board exam from science stream. 

Reservation of Seats 

Fifty  percent of the total seats for candidates applying for the bachelor of interior design programme will be reserved for those candidates who have passed their qualifying exam from the schools which are located in Gujarat and (i) Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli (ii) Diu

Basis for calculation of aggregate marks 

The aggregate marks of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of languages, all the subjects and practical examination. 

Note: If the candidates fail to pass any subject, then such candidates will be disqualified. 

Candidates who have any other qualification other than those which are mentioned, in such a case they will have to provide an attested copy of equivalence certificate from a recognized authority along with the application. 

CEPT Eligibility Criteria 2019 for  Bachelor of Urban Design and Bachelor of Design (Building Products and Systems)

According to CEPT 2019 eligibility criteria, candidates will have to clear the (Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination) or its equivalent examination from any of the following branches:

  • Science

  • Arts/ Humanities 

  • Commerce 

Candidates will have to pass the qualifying exam from any one of the following boards: 

  • Science

  • Commerce 

  • Arts/Humanities 

As per the CEPT eligibility criteria 2019 for bachelor of urban design programme, candidates should have scored a minimum aggregate score of 50% in all the subjects. 

Candidates who have passed their Diploma (10+3 pattern) from (i) Science stream (ii) Arts/humanities (iii) Commerce will be eligible to appear for the entrance test 

Such candidates should have scored 50% aggregate marks from Technical Board of Gujarat or any other state or from a college/university established under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956.

CEPT Entrance Exam 2019 Exam Pattern

CEPT Entrance Exam 2019 Admit Card

CEPT admit card 2019 was available to candidates on July 6. The authorities concerned sent the admit card to those candidates whose application form was filled correctly. If the application form is not filled rightly, then in such a case, candidates have to register again.

The CEPT 2019 result for  bachelor of design and bachelor of construction technology was declared on July 11 while result for Bachelor of Urban Design was released on July 12.

CEPT Result 2019 for Bachelor of Design Programme 

The weightage that was given to different components while preparing the final CEPT 2019 result for bachelor of urban design programme is given below in the table. The different components that  are taken into account are the (i) Written Admission Test (ii)HSC percentage (iii) Personal Interview

It is not mandatory that all the candidates who appear for the entrance test, they would automatically be selected for personal interview. 

Candidates who meet the requisite cutoff will be called for a personal interview. The parameters on which the candidates will be evaluated at the time of personal interview are:

Hi sir,

CEPT Entrance Exam is held by CEPT Universityfor admission to 3 years Bachelor Degree Programme (UG) and 2 years Master Degree Programme (PG) in Interior Design, Urban Design and Management, Architecture, Design and Construction Technology, etc.
It is a 3 hours exam and consists of objective type, drawing type and discriptive type of questions.
For Bachelors of Interior Design and Urban Design, the candidate must posses minimum of 45% in 10+2 with physics and maths as compulsory subjects and chemistry/biology/biotechnology/computers as a side subject.
For a Masters of interior Design, the candidate should be a under graduate  in any degree with minimum of 55% as an aggregate.
The syllabus includes 12th Mathematics and 10th English. The subject in focus also will have its own syllabus such as interior designing, urban management etc.

CEPT 2020 application forms for UG is usually available during 1st week of June and conducted during July and for PG it is available during 1st week of January and conducted during April.

By August the admission processes begins.
NOTE THAT the candidate must complete their 10+2 from the Gujarat Board or other boards like CBSE.
