The Department of Design at CEPT University will not conduct any separate CEPT entrance exam for admission to design courses. CEPT BDes admission 2026 will be conducted based on the marks obtained by students in the UCEED entrance exam.

The final admission list 2026 of the candidates for BDes admission will be based on UCEED score weightage.

CEPT B.Des Admission 2026 eligibility criteria

The Department of Design at CEPT will release the eligibility criteria for BDes admission 2026 soon on the website. To be eligible for CEPT BDes admission 2026, candidates are required to have passed class 12th. The CEPT B.Des admissions 2026 eligibility criteria for the candidates are mentioned below.

• Applicants should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from any stream (Science, Commerce, and Arts/Humanities), from the Gujarat state board or any other State boards or CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/IB, with a minimum aggregate score of 50% for all subjects.

• Applicants should also have passed the Diploma (10+3 pattern) of arts, applied arts, photography, animation, interior design, architecture, architectural assistantship, fashion technology, handloom technology, printing technology, ceramic technology, leather technology, civil, mechanical, production, automobile, with minimum 50% aggregate marks from Technical Board of Gujarat or any other state or from a college/university.

Some of the important instructions to the candidates for B.Des admission 2026

• GUJCET or JEE or NATA scores will not be considered in the evaluation process. The evaluation is strictly based on the HSC scores and UCEED test marks only.

• All the candidates who are eligible for the admission process must appear in all the stages of the UCEED test.

• Disqualification of the candidate is done if the candidate is absent from any of the tests conducted for the admission process.

CEPT B.Des Admission 2026 Merit list

The CEPT 2026 merit list will be prepared based on the candidate's scores in the UCEED exam. Based on their rank in the merit list, students will be called for counselling in 2026. The CEPT 2026 merit list will include the names of candidates, All India Rank (AIR), CEPT scores, and the qualifying status. The allotment of seats, which are 80 in total, will be done based on the CEPT merit list.

CEPT B.Des 2026 Counseling Process

The authorities will be scheduling the dates for counselling sessions. The CEPT design counselling dates will be announced soon. Based on the candidate’s CEPT ranks, the merit list will be prepared. Candidates who have achieved the cutoff criteria and obtained the ranks will be eligible for counselling. CEPT B.Des Admission 2026 Seat Matrix

CEPT offers B.Design in two specialisations, namely, Products and Communications. Each specialisation is allocated 40 seats. The student will select the specialisations at the end of the second year, i.e., the 4th semester. The seat allocation in the particular specialisation will be based on academic performance, portfolio, interview, and seat availability.

CEPT B.Des Admission 2026 Fees

The CEPT B.Des admission 2026 fees for the academic year 2026-27 will be updated on the official website - admissions.cept.ac.in as per the announcement from the authority. As per the past trends, the CEPT B.Des fee is expected to be around Rs 3.50 lakhs per annum. The final B.Des 2026 fees will be uploaded and communicated to each of the students along with the admission offer letter. Candidates must pay the required fee to confirm their seat allotment.

CEPT Design Scholarship

To help students, the authorities at CEPT will also offer scholarships. CEPT design scholarship is categorised in two categories: pre admission scholarship and post admission scholarship.

CEPT Admission 2026: Pre-Admission Scholarship

The pre admission scholarship at the CEPT University will be awarded to students whose family income is less than Rs. 10 lacs per annum. To apply for a scholarship for CEPT design admission, aspirants will have to fill out the online form. However, applicants will be able to access the online scholarship form only after submitting the admissions application form.

Documents required to avail scholarship at CEPT university

• Income Tax Returns of all earning family members for last two years along with copy of Detailed Income Computation.OR

• If Income Tax Returns are not filed, annual family income certificate issued by appropriate Government Authority. OR

• If Parent(s) are salaried employee, Form 16 Copy/Salary Certificate issued by Employer for last two years

• If Parent(s) are having business income, copy of Signed/Audited Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account for the current financial year.

• List of Immovable Properties and Investments owned by the family along with Approx. Market Value as on March 31, 2026.

• Copy of Bank statement last six months.

• Annual Information Statement (AIS) (part of 26As) for Financial year 2025-26, Assessment Year 2026-27. Download from the Income tax site

• Student undertaking that they are not recipients of any other government/private scholarships or grants or benefits.

• Family Income declaration by parents/guardians, stating definite income as per the Income tax return, Financial Year 2025-26 from all sources by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 50 is required.(as per given Format of Affidavit).

• Copy of Bank passbook or blank crossed cheque of the bank (Account must be in the name of the student applying for Scholarship).

• Educational Expenses of other siblings and any Government/Other help.

• Receipt of Fee payment of the last semester / year attended at the last School/College/ University.
