Students should know the NIFT BFTech eligibility criteria as it is different from other courses offered at National Institute of Fashion Technology. The BFTech eligibility criteria 2025 includes the minimum educational qualification and age limits. Students who have completed a 10+2 level of education with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry can apply for BFTech given that they adhere to the NIFT BFTech exam age limit. The NIFT BFTech eligibility criteria must be fulfilled before the students appear for the NIFT entrance exam. The students must have passed the 10 + 2 level of examination from a central or State Board which is recognised by the government of India. Along with this the students must have Physics and Mathematics as subjects.
Having a pass grade in the senior secondary school examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of 5 subjects including Physics and Mathematics is also acceptable.
Any public school/board/university examination in India or a foreign country which is recognised by the association of Indian universities as equivalent to 10 + 2 Level system in India is also acceptable given that the students have physics and maths as subjects.
Having a general certificate education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at advanced (A) Level /International Baccalaureate (IB). The students must note Mathematics and Physics are compulsory subjects.
Candidates who are currently appearing in the board exam in the year of admission are also eligible to apply given that day fulfil the necessary NIFT BFTech qualification at the time of seat allotment / admission.

The students planning to join the BFTech course need to be under a certain age to be eligible. The NIFT BFTech exam age limit is the same as the undergraduate courses age limit in NIFT. The students must be of or under the age of 24 on 1st of August of 2025. This is the age limit for OBC and general candidates. The scheduled caste/ scheduled tribe and person with disabilities have a relaxation period of 5 years, which means they can be of or under the age of 29 on August 1 of 2025.
This is the upper age limit for the BFTech course. The students who are under the age of 18 need to submit an affidavit on Rs 10 non judicial stamp paper in the prescribed proforma daily signed by the parent or guardian. It is the duty of the students to ensure that all the certificates which are submitted to the institution are original and any student submitting the false certificate will have to face consequences as per the Government of India.

The students who have completed their 12th class with Maths and Physics can apply for BFTech. They need to be under the age of 24 years on 1st August 2025.
The students need to pass all the subjects in their 12th class. There is no minimum aggregate required for NIFT.
For apparel designing designing, students need to pass 10+2 or equivalent.
There is no scope to join NIFT without entrance exams.

The nationwide Institute of Fashion Technology offers a nationwide entrance exam called NIFT for admission to its fashion design programmes.
Every course has specific requirements that must be met in order to apply. For NIFT, there is no minimum age requirement, however it is evident that passing the 10+2 exam is a requirement in order to be admitted to any undergraduate programme in fashion design.
